Tenacity you have to relax with your comments, You do understand that all of us deal with this.. yes i do not support the cruise to catch up and the energy drain... but we are all in this together.
While I appreciate that this rule change is made with the best of intentions, I have a horrible feeling that any light Gunboats/Cruisers/Battleships will be abandoned because of it.
Could the admins consider returning CD's to battleships then?

stronger ship wins, no matter how much smaller and faster on thruster you are and no matter how you will leave fight because is cap fleet against you ....
actually, you can outevade them easily. Turn around and stick a CD in their hull as soon as they try anything. As a small ship you can do that in 1.2 second.
Here's what I see happening.
Pirate transport cruises to catch up to DSE freighter that is thrusting after being hit with a CD.
Transport drops out of cruise, and cannot fire guns on account of no energy. Freighter thrusts away again.
Transport has to enter cruise again. Rinse and repeat.
So cruising in a gunboat or transport to catch a fighter, freighter, or bomber is pointless. Not sure what this would be like for a large capital with extended weapons range. We will just have to try it and see, I guess.
