Yeah make some kind of merc wing or something of like 3 people.

But talking mod-wise: how 'bout a token you can buy from select dealers saying you are 'highly affiliated' with a faction for like half a bill. It would be like a ship equipment- sort of like Guard id.

Roleplay a milionaire. Get a fancy yacht, no armor, no weapons to make it fun. Have a lot of valuable and/or contraband stuff onboard. Bribe everyone. If two pirates asks for 2 million tell them you pay 20 for the one who kills the other. That sort of stuff.

I wish I'd have the patience and time you have for minig. Well, roleplaying a homeless who has problems to refill his bots after a fight is equaly fun.

But yeah, adding 'unique' items would really be cool.

Prehaps add some mountable hardpoints to ships, 3-4 of em, and add items that dont do anything to mount on them.

From custom leather seats to a miniturized lavatory (for snubcraft) to a 'my other ship is a {insert battleship name here}' bumperstickers, for traders.

I mean, really, I don't think "Lavatory" hardpoint on my ship is really needed... I take that for granted... and if there isn't one, coke-bottle for the win.

Invest into a grand master plan that will bring a house colony into it's knees. Try investing into the pirate groups and make them loyal to you and do some big attack on a Navy Admiral. While they're doing all the work you'll be watching from your brand new luxery yacht enjoying the rich life.
