Without trying to sound overly judgemental, this ship "dealership" option has always struck me as being kind of oorp. Even when a thin veneer of rp is applied on the surface. But I do understand why people like to use this option.

If folks are really making ships to sell off for a profit, that probably means one less player mining and trading. In other words, one less player actually interacting with others in game in a meaningful manner.

My suggestion to Igiss: Raise the resell value of the ship to 75% of its showroom price. That way people can try out different types of ships and find the ones they really want to use, without having to spend another geological epoch grinding for credits.
