I like TES III Morrowind with its expansions more than Oblivion. A better graphic can't replace gamefeeling.

Oblivion had to suffer under the compromise to be developed for console and pc. Some people are praising the face animations in Oblivion. I cannot agree with. Morrowind is more extensive and i like the Story of the Nerevarine.

Amen to that angel, Amen to that.

The story of the nerevarine is yust.. Perfect

You die
You ressurect
You kill
You live

Allso, nothing can beat the feeling you have when your walking trough the woods on Solstheim.. or digging trough one of the burrow's.

Or, figthing werewolves! God i love bloodmoon's storyline.. dont you?

Wow, a full month since the last post.

@ Exile: Solstheim was great, even it has produced many crashes on my former pc. The main story of Bloodmoon was not my favor, but to build up Ravenrock and to become the leader of Thirsk. I love this viking stuff. The berserkers are very close to the story of the 13. Warrior and i think this movie had a great influence into the development of Bloodmoon, as the whole norse mythology had.

I was a bit disappointed of Tribunal. For the Morrowind capitol only few NPC's were crawling around, but the underworld of the old capitol was made good. Also the Dwemer fortress.
The museum was a nice gift, which has motivated me to get the collection complete.
The best of tribunal were the sabers and armours of the elite ordinators. Oblivion is without a chance in this aspect.

It seems, it is time to play Morrowind again.

To be honest i must say there was one great story line in Oblivion, which has given me a lot of fun:
The Dark Brotherhood. This story was even better than Morrowind, but just a small part of the whole game.

Ah TES.. The greatest games ever created!!! I totally agree on Morrowind, it just felt so much better than Oblivion. I just can't play Oblivion as many hours as I have played Morrowind. I have to admit, I loved the Black Hand and the Knights of the Nine though.

@ Unseelie - could you imagine a MP version of Morrowind?? MY GOD that would be amazing.

After the amazing job that Bethesda has done with TES, I can't wait to see what they do with Fallout 3!

Morrowind was wonderfull.
just in sheer scope...
wow.
and, once I was done modding it, I could barely run it.
try an island with ten thousand inhabitants....hurts your 2001 pc....badly.
and, well, oblivion, while having amazing graphics and physics and AI...just seems to lack the size...
too much instatravel...

Amen, don't like the instant travel either. That's why I went on horse or foot everywhere.

I will have to find a mod that turns it all off, the try it again...there has to be one out there...maybe I will try it over Christmas.
my rule of thumb:
never start an elder scrolls char without two completely empty weeks to shove into it.

Hehe. As i have started playing Morrowind it has taken me a ful week and 5 trials to find the right entry, but then i played it extensively for another three weeks. The bright night sky was so beautiful also morning and evening lights.
I don't know why, but every time i played it my char was a North aligned to the house of Redoran and the best storyline were those of the main story and the Morag Tong. Also the Tasks of the Deadra. I can't remember how long i have searched for the shrine of Boethia. Great idea to sink them offshore.
Funny was the speaking mud crab. Man there are so many interesting places to explore. Not these fast builded dungeons of Oblivion.

Sorry guys, but i'm thankful Morrowind is a SP RPG only.

For Oblivion there are some great mods made by the german modding community. Some of them are translated into english afaik.
