I don't think anything needs to be changed. It's fine the way it is. Although, a reason why they have no physical body in their natural state would be nice.

One reason they have no physical bodys could be do to being born in Zero G?, and over the Billions of years these creatures have lived in space maybe they evolved into what they are now, the one setback being is that they require a Host to fufill the other aspects of there live, like Mating, Emotions, Love stuff like that?
