Farmers' Alliance

I would be intrested in it. I have been thinking about a Farmers Alliance faction for a while. I would love to get involved in starting up a faction. Sort of a radical technophobes, similar to the retro's in Privateer. But more about agricultural tech then other, but these people would probably have an overall negitive attitued towards technologies. Synth Paste beeing the main thing, but also think about Luxury food. They would probly look to have a close relationship with the Gaians, due to there similar ideologies. Trade with the corsairs would also be big, imagine a group of farmers sending all of thier excess product to the starving corsairs. I think it's a great idea.

The Blue Lotus Syndicate (nudges P Funk in the ribs) does need some more members; to date, I've been on at the same time with the Grand Master for about 3 hours total, and have only ever met a couple of other people. Most of the time it's me flying solo or on the wing of a RoS ship. Though I like the idea.

I think this is a good idea, but as Dopamino says, not many would be willing to RP a pissed off rice farmer.

However, I am not against this idea at all. But, with a faction that has a relatively small niche of interest, it may be better to start off a group, rather than a faction. Get a bunch of people together who are interested in the Farmers Alliance, and make independent characters each. Fly together and get to know each other. Slowly expand your group with people who are interested in the idea too as you show off your RP to those around you. You should find your group becomes big enough to make a faction.

But start small. From the must humble beginnings, an Empire spanning whole continents is formed.
