Barak glanced at the stars for a moment more, he then turned and motioned for Elder Lucindez to follow him, they walked into Barak's ward room. Barak offered Lucendez a drink " I hear you enjoy milkshakes of brandy of something like that?, here try this, instead of brandy, I use Sakii." Barak poured himself a gigner beer and sat down with the Elder." It is sad new that I should not be able to see planet Crete, I have heard of it's beuty. But I thank you for your warning. But now to buisness, I work for an organization in Kusari known as the Artisan Farmers Alliance, we beleive that the corprate infultaion into Kusari is destroying our culture and poisoning us with there drugs and low quality food. My mission is to look for freindlies in Sirius, trying to establish relatisions with our freinds. I am glad you came here in person though, as it gives me a chance to make this offer; I hear from my sources that the children of Crete starve, well my poeple are farmers and produce the highst quality food in all of Siruis, but I remember the proverb, "A man cannot stand alone" and we have no wish to stand alone, so my offer, We will send weekly shipments of Kusari food to the TBH, and in return I would ask to be given accses to Tonzia del cid's(level 9) for use on our fighters in Kusari. In addition to food and weapons, it will give us a chance to develop a relationship and trust between the TBH and AFA, hopefully this leads to a long freindship between our two groups, and hopefully between you and I as individuals." With that Barak took a drink of his beer, and waited for this Corsair Elders response.

"Hehe." Lucendez smiled a bit after tasting his shake.

"You know, I did have an ulterior motive in coming here. I've been to many places in Kusari and the Edge Worlds, but the Alliance definitely makes the best Sake around." He sets down his milkshake and crosses his hands, supporting his chin as he speaks.

"Unfortunately, struggles are won by more than just foodstuffs. Although we are in need of precious rations, I won't demand from you the reason for fighting in the first place. The other House corporations flood the market daily with their pastes, and your farmers are struggling to make a living. Selling solely to the Corsairs would invalidate the Alliance and give your enemies reason to attack more of you."

Lucendez then popped his eyes open and started to rummage through his jacket, distracted by the need to find something in the pockets. Finally he found his curly straw and leaned back in the chair with his shake, sipping and smacking his lips afterwards.

"However! We have succeeded in rebuilding after our engagement with the Rhienland Military, but we have a problem." The Corsair took a sip and put his glass on the table. "Our ships are ready for departure, but with no fuel to take them anywhere. This is where you come in. Deliver shipments of H-fuel to Tripoli Shipyard and consider a handful of Tizonas yours."

The Elder wrapped a braid of hair around his index finger and awaited the ambassador's response.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Ze'ev stood and walked over to a counter with a bowl of fruit on it. He picked up two pieces of fruit. Turning back to Lucendez he offered one, it was an orange, big as a fist. Ze'ev turned and walked slowly back to the other side of the table. He tore open the orange and pulled a segment out. "These oranges come from my families groves. We have been growing oranges for generations." He said as he through the orange segement into his mouth. " Elder, I have no problem with your terms, you are in need of H-fuel, I am in a position to make that happen, and the Tizonas will benifit our cause greatly." Ze'ev sat back down, fliping his seat backwards before he sat. " My people are farmers, it's what we do, but many people in Kusari, long time freinds of mine, thier fields lye empty. I dont understand this, I know there are many hungry people in the universe, but that is not a problem we have here in Kusari. We have many, many acres of fields that could be used for food, but in Kusari the need is not there since the odius synthpaste made it's way into Kusari. My vision for Kusari is one where farmers work thier fields and fresh produce fills sirius, hungry children all over the sector will eat produce from Kusari farmers. I need people to want our food, and with so many hungry people I should think that would be an easy task, but it has turned out to be harder than I anticipated. Now I agree to your offer, but I would like to try and make some sort of deal to put our food on your tables. There must be something we can agree on, dont you think?" Barak pulled another segment of orange, throws it up in the air, catching it in his mouth on the way down. He looked up meeting Lucendez gaze.

Barak was becoming unnerved by Lucendez's unwavering gaze. " Ok how bout this, semi-regular shipments of Kusari food along with the shipments of H-Fuel, in exchange for the use of the Tonzias and permision to purchase 2 Pirate Trains from tripoli Shipyards. How's that work for you?" With that Barak finished his orange and stood, walking back to the window, and returned to looking out at the stars.

Lucendez shakes his head, he was lost in thought.

"Excuse my distraction, oranges bring back memories of simpler times. Semi-regular is fine, but the H-fuel is a must. I would be honored to be the first to buy the first shipment of your families' oranges."

Lucendez got up, "with our business complete I think I need to get moving. I'm sorry for the short visit but I need to keep mobile." And with that, the Elder headed to the door.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.

Barak looked at the retreating Elder Lucendez, " Thank you Elder, and if ever you should need us just call. Hopefully one day we can meet for a more esoteric conversation, over drinks. That time is not now though, good voyages Elder."

After Lucendez left, Barak went to the comm panel. He flipped the switch. " Helm, begin docking sequence with Islay as soon as our visitor has gotten under way."

Barak sat down, with his feet against the window, he found himself staring at the stars again. He couldnt help but think how this trip was begining to work out in his favor.

As his window filled with the view of the docking port of Islay base, he stood, and went off to office, time to get some more work done.

Barak sat at his desk, he was looking over his briefs. A few caught his intrest, first the CR faction, he made a mental note to make contact with them, as well as the remnet BSG forces, his sources told him that some of them were hanging around on Islay, mabye he would get to meet them while he was here. Also of intrest was the TBH member captured by the Rheinlanders, while he knew it was well out of his sphere of influence, his recent meeting with Elder Lucendez made a whole lot more sense now. He had already sent the first transport of H-fuel to Tripoli, at this point it was all he could do to help.

Next to his proposal for Sean, Barak really felt his group could become very close with these NLH "Chaps". They seemed to be a real good bunch, and their goals and Ideology were fairly in tune with the AFA's, they both fought the Britonians and the Mollies. But most importantly they fought against the corprate power structure, and they shared an affinity for less reliance on technology. They were good people. Barak looked over the offer, he wanted these people as allies, the offer included use of all FA weapons and systems, an offer of co-belligerencey against the Britonians and Planeform, and an offer of Alliance, with a mutual protection pact. This along with the offer to supply H-fuel and food for Gaian bases, Barak hoped his terms would work for Mr. Dawson.

With that Barak closed his folder, and went to the long range comm console, He sent off an update to Master Morimoto, and a confermation of his deal with Elder Lucendez. He went over to the sofa in his ward room and layed down, he decided to take a nap while waiting for Sean Dawson to make some time for him. He drifted off thinking about growing up on his families farm, the morning dew glistening off the oranges.

"It looks all so messy here, I really don't know how bad that will affect the discussion with Mr. Barak" Sean thought. He was kinda nervous, but confident enough to consider the meeting to be a success.

1 hour later...

Sean's office looked more organised, just as he expected. He felt ready for the meeting, so he left Ze'ev the following message:

Mr. Barak, I'm sorry for the long waiting time. Serious business kept me occupied. Anyway, you are given the privilege to step into my office whenever you feel it's time to do so. I await your presence with great anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
Sean Dawson

As Sean finished composing the message, he continued browsing the comm channels of Sirius while he waited for Ze'ev.
