Commander Armand Grimston is from a military family, stretching back before the Sol Exodus - his ancestors took part in some of the most well-documented battles against the Coalition in history. Every member of his family has since served actively within the military.

Grimston joined the Navy at a young age, quickly rising through the ranks as a capable, loyal, and charismatic leader. He was assigned the outdated "Confederate"-class gunboat, the LNS-New Mexico. The Confederate class of gunboats was a failed project, the intent of which was to produce a small series of agile gunboats designed for leading fighter squads into enemy territory and retrieving sensitive information or personnel.

One of only nine Confederates not scrapped or repurposed, the outdated New Mexico still performs her duty faithfully. The New Mexico's most notable aspect was that it had a defector from the Rheinland Military as part of her crew - Dr. Wesker, a researcher into weapons technology and natural phenomenon. He serves as the chief science officer, despite some suspicion about his intentions trickling down from High Command.

Commander Grimston also regularly served as the captain of the LNS-Henderson, a standard Siege Cruiser, also assigned to the Task Force Seven group of the Navy.

After the disbandment of the Task Force, the wherabouts of Commander Grimston, as well as the Henderson and the New Mexico, are unknown, though there have been unconfirmed sightings of the New Mexico in the systems of Kansas, Texas, Minnesota, Magellan, and even as far as Omicron Delta and Omicron Kappa. The Henderson has not been sighted since.

Ian Holmes was inducted as an officer of the Secondary Fleet on 10-21-817 A.S.
After running base patrol in the New York system for two standard months, he applied to the Primary fleet, and was subsequently denied.
He was then recruited by Commander Miranda Cain of Task Force Seven, into Raptor Squadron.
He was assigned to the Texas system, to fight on the Rhein front, where he aided the Commander Cains and Officer Ralusch in the destruction of no less than ten Rheinwehr battleships, and an unkown number of snubcraft.
He was present at the aborted TF7 strike into Omicron Minor on 12-08-817 A.S, which, although it did not achieve mission goals, was qualified as a success due to the five kills and zero losses.
At the Rheinwehr Push on 1-02-818 A.S, Liberty forces engaged and massively destroyed a Rheinwehr fleet that had broken into Texas, all the way to the New York Gate.
Officer Holmes personally engaged and destroyed two enemy gunboats before ejecting.
Due to injuries sustained, he was hospitalized for six days, after which he rotated to duty in California patrolling the Rogue Stretch for three weeks.
After the unofficial disbandment notice was given to TF7 members, Officer Holmes disappeared. His ship and equipment were later found in the Rochester docking bay, however, all video and docking records for that day had been erased.
His current location is unkown, but given Officer Holmes's past, it is most likely he has moved on from Liberty and the Navy.
