The Big Dragon Transport is another choice open for Hogs.
Quite a good pirate transport.

You can pirate in a Hege, and it also makes perfect RP sense for some factions to do so. Hessians, Mollies, Unioners, Xenos... these all came from working folk revolting. Makes a little less sense for a Hogosha to use them but it's possible.

The ship is not listed as exclusively lawful. If your faction can use civvy ships, a Hegemon's perfectly fine to use.

[Edit] And about transports versus gunboat? If a gunboat captain has half a brain it shouldn't even be a challenge. Razorboats/missileboats might have a hard time killing a transport quickly, but gun-heavy gunboats will easily chew a transport up. Don't build your transport for anti-gunboat duty. It's something doomed to failure.

[color=#000000]Well, finally I made a CAU5 Raba (thanks for the infos Spazzy) and it served me well until now. It was better than an UAU8 Ptrans and a CAU4 BWT...well these are my the first experiences in it.

Also, there are rumors that the Ptrans will get it's cargo hold nerfed in the next version.

Now, for the Hegemon.

It has a rather nice cargo hold, not as much as Ptrans, but good enoguh.

Has 600 bbs, and 145K Armor, and a really large power core.

In open space, that thing is evil.

I used it for piracy.

However, don't use that! It's a huge target, and even with it's buffed reverse thrust it's still not manouverable enough. Not to mention it getting stuck on every possible thing in asteroid fields.

Only for the masochistic among us;)
