' Wrote:*cough* Second Life has more rp. Unless you dont mean Second Life as in the adult simulator.
Yes I was talking about that simulator. But this is Freelancer Discovery? a kinda of Second Life with general rp in it? than i was wrong about this all along and should apologize to you guys for all my words on the rp. I thought it was just on a freelancer rp and not randomly... I mean I want freelancer rp only, a good futuristic experience... but general talk just wont do it... I can play Second Life for that and listen to others what they are eating and stuff like that... This is my personal opinion, I really liked you guys how you explained to me this situations, and didnt "jumped on my throat".

No, But second life does have by standard allready more RP then Disco.
All those star wars sims rping like star wars, goreans based on a novel, and the various other sims. (In total I believe Second Life covers at least 50 serious styles of rp's. (Includes furrie and human rps as I am a fur over there)
Disco is havign the problem of not being serious for RPs, because of ltitle effort to no effort at all.
I fully second your post as you wrote it down, so I just added my view on pirates putting no effort for a scene
I dotn mean anythign against the peopel who do RP, as I have met people OOCly in private who I want to rp those things with later. (real rps, no tax or die lines).
A nice feature could be impliment a /sigiveinfo command so that you can enlighten roleplayers on your /si if they are putting no effort at all.. This would result in tellign the targeted player that I would have a setinfo avaialbel for reading, see what I do etc by default
My thoughts here.
With reference to some of your posts...
We have newbies around us who have not yet read the rules and are trying out the game. Some don't know what the crap is roleplay.
Now let's see..
Secret missions?Raids? These kind of stuff take time, they are not stuff you can plan in 1 minute. You need a few hours to plan them, and time is also needed to conduct them.Carrying these stuff out is not gonna be easy.People who chit chat for four hours? It's a game right? We play here to entertain ourselves right? We are not here to go and like, make other people happy.<strike>That's the job of an administrator who is on duty</strike>.So if the type of chit chatting/being lazy/putting 0 effort in roleplay is within the rules, and it makes us happy,we will do that, you can say the same for planning events,if it is within the rules for us not to take part/plan an event,if it also makes us happy not to do either, we won't do it.
One more thing, while I do agree that roleplay is also created by actions. There are really people who Q_Q when people PVP/do one of the above things you said and they get killed. These people are annoying,I think it annoys people so much they don't like to do this kind of stuff anymore.
So basically, what I think is wrong here is player mentality.
Note:I'm not saying all players are like that.
Stop it.Seriously, stop whining.Stop Q_Qing and stop trolling.Stop exaggerating things which are minor, stop whining about stuff which happens every time the blue moon appears.Stop Q_Qing because people do not comply to your wishes. This is not your personal universe where you can lord everyone around and judge people using your emotions.Think logically.Think.Just think.
I'm gone.Goodbye.
@ OP: its a thing of luck. when you hit into some good rpers that want to give you a hell of a time, you are in for a treat. but it doesnt happen often. yes, we understand that, but it's a burden of an open server - not everyone will play by the rules (or be able to read the rules, for that matter:lol:)
