anyone know what ports the freelancer server accepts connections on? if i forward those through my firewall as a virtual server i can host a temporary place for us to get our freelancer kicks at.

Ok i'm considering trying something here befor ei cave in and play single player again... Anyone willing to help me test a temporary server please contact me VIA AOL Instant messenger. My screenname is Tiphreaker. I can't verify if the server is working from the intenet side since both the machine i play on and the one i'm using as the server are both behind my firewall. So if you want to kill half an hour and possibly get a working 4.73 server back up until tomorrow or whenever 4.74 gets fixed contact me.

I wouldn't consider weaker battleship turrets toys. That just sucks. ='(

I seem to be remembering a post where someone asked about this, I think he means weaker npc turrets....

personally I thought they weren't strong enough.

He didn't mention NPC battleships in the change log. I hope you're right though.

But he did in the other thread.... I really don't think he messed with PC battleships. If so then there goes the mod.

I was about to edit my other post, and it turns out he specifically clarified to you in the other thread the change was for npc battleships.

I'm sorry people, just uploaded the files to a wrong place. Now it's all fixed, you may get them. Unfortunately, even files on Lancersreactor got messed up.

Turrets were not exactly made weakier. They were rebalanced to make ships of one class more or less equal. So some were made weaker. Some - stronger. It's difficult to estimate how powerful each ship will be in a fight, because each has different number of turrets on different sides of a ship. So I hope for your help in making the ship balance even better.

NPC and PC battleships have the same turrets, however PC battleships also have rockets that deal more damage than all turrets together, and flak cannons.

I got it worked out, had some strange things come up so I did the simplest thing.... clean install of flmm, and reinstall of freelancer.
