My first ever character was called "Mang"

I was a disaster.

Having traded for abit ( after someone nice showed me how to mine silver ( OLD style mining) such that I could get a Camara) I wanted an AWESOME fighter.

The wiki solved this.

Obviously, the highest hull wins. So, I bought a Spatial.

I dread to think what weps I had, but I remember re-engaging a gunboat several times. Bad times.

Luckily the GMG saved me, and "Mang" became GMG|Mang.Kinjo, who is now the GMG| CEO.


I feel that my experience highlights the need for official factions. I only got involved with the GMG ( and the forum for that matter) having located a GMG member in the chat menu and asking to join. He even made this forum account for me. I owe my Disco life to DeathsOverture

Heh. I owe my disco life to SwissScorch, the Order| faction lead before,Ophidion's first stint.

Somehow found here, made my first account, and actually joined the Order|.

Then 4.85 beta 4 died. Hasnt worked since.

He actually helped me rep my first fightet (Jeremy_Hunter, Nephthys :D) with the,Khonshu, then funded my new Neph.

Ya'll can blame him for me being here :D

The only character I actually cherish... First post made October 6th, 2008.
3 years old, but much older in idea. I've used him for Nexus The Jupiter Incident, in about 2005.
I continually add new peices to his biography.

He now 'owns' FP11.

Administrates.

Whatever.

First ever character was a guy by the name of Jarkeler.

He would have had to have been my lulziest character ever.

Back in 4.83, you could BUY Neutral IDs if you did not wish to participate in role play (Yeah, you heard right). Hence, I bought one, and pretty much stuck whatever I wanted on it.

I flew a Nephthys. With codes. And GMG Weapons. And did Outcast missions on Ruiz in Beta.

I even flew to the one base in the Outcast guard system that is sitting below the giant black hole.

No one ever caught me nor did I know I was in a "guard system":lol:

First character: Agmen

He started out as a freelance trader and he's ... still a freelancer. He's been around on the server as long as I have, now just a shade past 3 years. He's gone through several ships over time, back to where he's just flying a Firefly.

My first ship was a Starflier...

Named Boss.

Which eventually became a Rhino with a hodgepodge of Xeno, Rogue, LPI, and Junker gear/ID/IFF.

Then Daniel Feenix slapped me and handed me a Havok Mk II, SNAC, Uni 8, and four ARCHANGELs. Back before /givecash, that was a pretty serious investment in a noobie.

I, of course, got my guns shot off in a fight against a gunboat and went and docked.

I don't have the ship any more. Can't remember if it got wiped, or if I converted it/sold it or what.

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.

My first char is still my most-used char, Nauticus. I've had him since I started playing some time around May '09
He started off as a powertrader, continued on as a decent RP-trader, changed profession for a while to a corsair and then finally ended up as a gaian. That's when I started to evolve the character as a person and his story.

It reminds me, I want to thank the generous rogue whose name I forgot, who gave me a few mils to start off with a decent transport. I wanted to meet ya as soon as I went to buy the ship, but you weren't there anymore when I came back. Who knows, I might have ended up as a rogue if you had still been there...
