Caught a Freelancer ID: Wandering.Star flying a Bumblebee - K60P - 27T Kusari Transport out of Munich space with a cargo full of Military Vehicles.
After explaining his error, he proceed to communicate to me the validity of his ignorance of Rheinland law, wishing for me to repeat my statement. I simply didn'€™t have the time or desire to go over a law he should have known before buying a Kusari Transport and attempting to haul Rheinland property. We exercised our authority allowed to us to open fire and destroy his ship.

Near the end of our patrol we got a communication from Captain Marshal that a Freelancer ID: Friend in a Clydesdale - B-27-E Bretonia Freighter ID: Friend, was fleeing the Munich system with Military Vehicles.
Marshal ran into engine troubles and requested us to intercept him at the gate. We were able to convince him to turn around and deliver the cargo back where he got it from.

Unfortunately a Mercenary ID: Mulanar_Alpinko Heron - CT-53 Civilian Train hauling Military Vehicles was not so responsive
[Image: 254px-Train-s.png]

This is also where it gets a bit dicey. Even after communicating a system wide communication to stop him, he still proceeded to make like a bat out of hell to Sigma 13. We finally caught up with him at Nana where a Merc was more than happy to remind us where we were. I will take responsibility for my action Sir, if it comes to it. I simply could not allow those Military Vehicles to be taken from Rheinland, especially from some rookie Mercenary in a trade ship. Seeing how he inched toward the disrupted lane again and again, we opened fire on him, ripping apart a good portion of his ship before he screamed for us to stop. Under the circumstances, we allowed him one more chance to return the cargo. Under our escort he did, and we were able to confirm that Friend did as well. Mulanar_Alpinko may have thought it was one big joke, but if we see him again, he'€™s done for. It seems no one listens to you until you blow their ship halfway to hell.

I'm glad I like writing reports.

Evening. We went to head out to test a new engine manifold we just installed and weren'€™t given much of a chance to run any diagnostics. We saw a TLD down the way to Munich as well as a MM headed towards it. No matter what, nothing good was going to come out of this. We took the operational lanes as far down as we could to find RFP|Kassel engaged against a pirate ship Black.Throne.

This is where it gets a bit choppy. We never had a chance to run a scan on the ship or determine the intent or reason why the RFP|Kassel was attacking the pirate ship We were literally forced to jump the gun as we had no idea if the Kassel could last under fire from that pirate transport. Opening fire, the transport was torn apart and destroyed. Again, the vid data is sketchy because that MM~Tom.Long decided to open fire on the transport. We really thought it was a bluff, but then he took more of an aggressive posture and made a claim to the Kassel we didn'€™t understand. Warning him off one more time, he opened fire on the Kassel and we returned fire. It wasn'€™t long before that Mercenary cashed in his chips and ejected.

With the Kassel safe, we returned to Mainz where I filed this report and transmitted the communications.

I love it when a plan comes together. Yesterday I ran into this Hessian varmint ID of [)(]die . What a ship name. Anyway, that dude was harassing all sorts of ships passing by. A heavy fighter, to be sure, but the Cowboy wasn'€™t letting him just mosey on off. Well I WAS going to give him a head start, but that guy wasn'€™t the brightest star in the sky. Sensors picked up an Alois.Stukov and he was red as a cherry. I wasn'€™t going to get double barreled and targeted [)(]die and took him out. That Alois.Stukov was taken back a bit and did a 180, making a run for the gassy hills. All in all a good night.

Communication as follows.

Woke up this morning to have a relaxing stroll and ran into a Hessian ID: [)(]-'€œddwb'€ in a gunboat, caught right in the middle of pirating an independent trader. If only they waited a little longer, or I woke up a mite sooner. Well, wasn'€™t about to let a Hessian in a ship like that keep running so I gave my hello and opened fire on that sucker. For the first round I felt the Venerable was a horse with a gimp leg! That varmint'€™s Gunboat was a gunSHIP, running circles around us. Well, I did what we used to do on the farm when the turbines failed and the dust was blowin, just hunker down, pile up, and open fire. We did a dead stop and let the turrets do the turning for us. Worked like a charm. Couple of jackrabbit hops here and there and the Venerable dispensed some indiscriminant justice. Stuttgart is a mite bit safer.

Yesterday a Mastodon - Libertonian Transport Ship ID '€“Charon- slipped by me with 1000 cargo load of Military Vehicles RIGHT BEHIND ME as I was scanning another ship with an R1 violation with a cargo full of Light arms. Not by most shining moment.

I hope you'€™re reading these reports because I don'€™t see anyone appearing on the Rheinland wanted lists. If I haven'€™t said it before, I'€™ll say it again. I take communications very seriously. Being stuck on a border station with nothing but comm. chatter to listen to and reports to file, I'€™d say half of the incidents that required me to call local patrols to do their jobs were from trade ships simply believing they can do anything they want. Like this guy. Never expected to see Gaian wildlife being transported to Munich but there it was.

1250 Gaian Wildlife

I didn'€™t think much of it until it was well within Munich and already dropped the cargo off to who knows where. I had a lengthy talk with the captain of that trade ship and I think I was angrier at myself for letting him go then him not bothering to read Rheinland law then blame me for not informing HIM of how he should go about transporting a typically illegal commodity. I needed Aspirin.
Communication

Comm came in of a Hessian causing issues in New Berlin and I was ready for any change of pace. I ran right into Kent'€™s old Hessian friend in Stuttgart [)(]-'€œddwb'€ and I guess you could say we were all on our last nerve and just seeing the Hessian, we went right at him, targeting his shields then generators. Did I also mention I'€™m glad we have these Rheinland guns? One Hessian Gunship departed New Berlin in fire.
Lingering around New Berlin, a Transport passing through Stuttgart informed me of another Gunship in that system. Unbelievable. We headed in front of a Kruger and some other transport about to enter Stuttgart and ran into [)(]-'€œddwb'€ , mucking around in what ever Gunship he could find at that base in the gas system. Again, we taught him not to crash into Rheinland space and harass any trade ships.
Communications

We lost the two transports and were aggravated by an obtuse Trade ship, but all in all we were able to serve Rheinland to some degree.

Now today, I'€™m going to hear it from Adam this time. Again, I placed a little faith in a transport that I caught with Military Vehicles and escorted him back half way through Munich. I was hoping that catching him in the act would be enough to dissuade him from trying again, but he never returned planet side. Instead, cruised up and over the trade lanes and back through Frankfurt. Due to some poor navigation on our part, we lost him in the Honshu systems. I wonder if Captain Marshal will find them. Here'€™s the ship.

In orbit in Munich, we stopped an IMG trade ship Arnulf.Wunold who was transporting a full cargo load of Military Vehicles. Here's his ID. Now we did stop him at the first trade lane, and yes we were going to give him the option to return the cargo, but when he started playing dumb about the legalities of the cargo, I gave the order to open fire. Pausing a moment at his sheer idiocy of his attitude toward the situation he found himself in, we took him out.
As the S&R teams picked him up, I'€™ll sure he'€™ll spend the night reading over the rules of Rheinland to alleviate his ignorance.

Communication as follows.
Don'€™t think the IMG are going to like this Brit much from now on. The feeling'€™s mutual.

Incoming Transmission
Transmission Origin: Omega 7

To Bounty Coordination Officer Lucas Engel and Hauptmann Zain Rahimi, Rheinland Military and Rheinland Police.

We'€™ve come a long way since performing a few patrols in the heart of House Rheinland and establishing a good foundational relationship with those who server our home. I believe we have made a difference in the amount of military vehicles that have been illegally transported off planet Nuremberg in Munich.

We'€™re also coming to a point where we would like to offer, yet another proposal, to Daumann and Republican shipping regarding Nuremberg. The issue in Omega 7 has hit a little closer to home that I would have liked, but I saw something like this coming when I left IMG as head of Research and development about a year ago. This has forced us to escalate our project on Nuremberg to where we would like to purchase a plot of land from Republican shipping. But that is another matter for another time with Republican.

There are a few questions I would like to ask so as not to step on Rheinland'€™s toes, so to speak. My freelancers and I have made strides in lowering the number of criminal activities in and around Munich, but also attracted some as well. I hope this does not prove to be a counter-balance in the future.

The Bundschuh. All I know of them is their single minded goal to eliminate the current Rheinland power structure and replace it with one of their making. I have seen few and far between, ship carrying their IFF and would like to know where they stand and what should be done when approached. They claim to defend Rheinland against foreign and domestic threats, but all I have seen or heard of them doing is destabilizing internal corporate operations to weaken Rheinland'€™s war machine but not one word of them defending Rheinland from any outside threat. They claim to be a '€œforce'€ fighting for the underclass and distraught working class of Rheinland, but again, I haven'€™t seen this. Can you shed any light on this for me and my freelancers?

Question about illegal cargo.
A. How far out of Rheinland space should possessors of any Rheinland sanctioned Illegal commodity should we pursue them?

B. If we encounter any ships listed on the Rheinland criminal list, should we dispense with the formalities, inform them of their crimes and allow them a chance to make amends or simply illuminate them? Captain Marshal was the only one who found any success in giving a point by point explanation of a transport'€™s crime and they seemed to not only pay the fine in full, but have not as of yet, been any problem with law infractions. On the other hand, Captain Owens has found countless others who blissfully ignore and even lie about their status with Rheinland and their desire to '€œchange their ways.'€ It seems this is a case by case issue and we'€™ll continue to handle it with kid gloves while upholding Rheinland law.

C. Interspace Commerce has been the largest breaker of the law surrounding the military vehicles from Munich. I presume other freelancers, sadly, are the second majority to this infraction. Can any agreement be made monetarily with Interspace for their ships constantly breaking Rheinland law? Maybe a trade of resources? All options, save them NOT taking military vehicles, goes against my grain, but it'€™s just a suggestion.

C2. May we be able to contact station control ops to prevent or sound off their ability to deny docking access to law breakers? Captain Owens has seen this happen more than once and having this right to request a docking denial would be helpful.

Questions about reports here
D. Most reported law breakers here are not added to the Rheinland criminal database, namely the ones who openly break Rheinland'€™s commodity laws. Is there anyway we could tag a report made here to be reflected in the criminal database so the paperwork isn'€™t so redundant? If not, we'€™ll start leaving reports of said law breakers in the criminal database.

H. Have we followed a format that makes sense or should it change? Owens seems to go overboard but I was just wondering.

I. Finally, is there anything about the actions I or anyone in this group have done to cause Rheinland pause or worry? If we have, let us know.

I am a Rheinland citizen. My heart and hope is that Rheinland can win through the day with honor, duty, and patronage of everyone who does their part. For our families, for our future, for Rheinland.

Apparently Cryer is now in the business of '€œMilitary'€ grade medicine. Well, no one'€™s going to swallow that pill. He landed planet side then ran to Sigma 17 the moment he tracked us out of the system.

I also hate to say this but Cryer is getting a bit offensive to the law in general. I caught them with slaves in their cargo, unable to follow them to sigma 13 and with no vid shots, its my word against theirs. We're going to have to keep an eye on them. Can we station anyone in the Sigma 17 to head them off?

Another day in Hamburg. Got the word that one got away from Owens so we headed out to the only place these guys head to. He wasn'€™t thrilled to see me, and with him running and all, he didn'€™t seem like he would turn about-face and return the military vehicles. Well, it didn'€™t seem he was going to make it to his next birthday either. He looked hungry so I gave him a SNAC and sent him on his merry. He even said he would file a report with the interstellar admissions office. How nice. Keep em coming.

With Omega 7 being all up in arms and no transport in sight, I destroyed both payloads of cargo.

[indent] Tonight was pretty straight forward. A small patrol and I found an Interspace Kusari class heavy transport running from a Pirate train chasing it down. I gave the pirate transport a chance to surrender, but it felt it easier just to open fire on us. Locking on to its hull, we took it out in a hurry. The Interspace transport was no worse for wear.
