I don't know if this idea has ever been suggested, but I'll dare anyway. Is the technical realization of this idea possible?

sadly, a destructible environment would require the sauce code.

On Discovery of Discovery you can break bases to a point where people can't dock for a few minutes.

But we can make some kinda trick. For example, when we destroy a ship, it throws out the loot (nanobots, etc), right? Why can not we use it and make medium-sized asteroids, which will contain some number of small asteroids in their "Cargo Hold"?

Better trick:
The Asteroid ship:D
Hull: 500, no shield and 100 cargo space for all types of ores ... then you only have to find players willing to "fly" them :cool:


On a more serious note ...
I hope Cannon is soon finished with all that bugs and errors and crashes 'n stuff ... he needs to approve my mod I've sent him:D

They also made scrap metal "asteroids" not as static objects in the fields some time ago.. there was even a video on youtube, can't find it sadly.
