I don't know how i feel about replacing Hussar with it.
But the fact is that the model is great, and it would be a shame for it to go down.
I don't know how Challenger looks, so i can't say if it's a good replacement for it.
Maybe Brettonian HF?
So people can choose between that one and the other (you said it's being made by someone else?).
I like it very much!

I personally don't feel that it is bretonian model...just, seems to lack the right...feel.
Dunno, but, I think it should have more ridges.
Bret ships really aren't curved at all, they are just covered in ridges that simulate a curve.
Model shows promise, but needs work.
Interesting design, if i may say. But it kinda looks like bretonia/BHG mix. Id drop that hole in middle of ship, it gives him weak hull feel that doesnt go hand to hand with rest of bretonia ships. Also tail and fin sections should be more bulky and wide since its the way rest were made.
@ Chopper: :secret:The Challenger is the Bretonia Bomber. VHF is the Templar.
@ Jinx: Please try this. Make the center part shorter to half the length. Drag the engines upward (to get a bow from the front to the end), remove the upper fin and let the fin below come from the engines. Now add two fins at the center part and let them spread downside the engines. Remove the fins left and right at the front.
Hope you got the picture.
the engines are now slighly bend upwards, and the body / tail is cut away. the upper tailfin is removed, and the lower tailfin is directly attached to the body now, giving the ship some contrapost structure to the engines from the side.
i also removed the sensor-array below the cockpit - and replaced it with... errrr... fins / legs:laugh:- well, rather fins - anything more solid looked really strange.
the wings are now curved a lot more ( 90 degrees )
the cockpit is completely remodelled. i gave it a more "knight" like helm look and elongated it. it doesn t look anything like a tie figher bubble anymore ( i hope ) - engine ribs removed from the tail - and added as a slight structure on the roof.
there is only a TEST texture attached to it - so that its obvious what parts of the ship are actually windows / cockpit. i am up for more suggestions - if none come, i ll study the bretonian ships a bit - and make appropriate textures.
edit: problem is - it doesn t look like a heavy fighter anymore - but rather like something much heavier:(.. i guess the window shape is the problem there...
stats: 700 polygons ( i can prolly remove a few invisible polygons more. there is enough room for 6 weapons on the model - and i ll prolly add hardpoint graphics once its OK.
@AoM - I know, i was commenting on what Stoat said :
Quote:Looks like it could easily convert into a very nice, and agile bomber too.
Maybe i'm newish in this Developing thing, but what's with white/red skin?
Is that like "in construction" or it will look like that when finished?
