Simply put, if you weren't supposed to use them, they wouldn't be there. As has been stated this is RP, it's not always about fair fights and Marquis of Queensbury rules, sometimes you get your backside handed to you on a platter by a better equipped enemy. That's Freelancer.

If you had a friendly duel with a guy, it is quite normal thing not to use bots/bats.
Duels (practice, training) is meant to be shortened a bit, not to last for hour or so.
So, if you agree on a duel in Conn, see with your enemy if you will use b/b or not.

Well, coming from an extremely PvP based server with a smidge of RP thrown into the mix, this is what I thought too when I came here. I was quickly set straight by a few people and just started to go with the flow. Within 3 or 4 days I was already used to using them myself in fights.
And yes, if you used them on my former server you would be beaten up on for a good couple hours by whoever decided to.
The only reason not to is to shorten fights and make you be able to fight more as was already stated.

What a very small-minded opinion. On a PVP server, where everything centers around fair fights, regens are not honorable. And, im sure there are plenty of people here who have visited these kinds of severs and enjoyed their time there. This is why some new people to this server may think Regens arent acceptable.
Im not saying regens should not be used here.
TRIAD comes from a pure PvP server, and when they started posting here they made much of their PvP skills. I'm not surprised one of them would break off a fight like that, for that reason. However, he's going to either have to get used to fighting opponents that have regens, or learn to use them himself. You know what they say: when in Rome....if I went to one of those PvP servers, I wouldn't be expecting everyone else to play by MY rules. Granted, it takes some getting used to if you're used to something different, but here we use regens except for during training.
I fought =LSF=Liquid and Fluid (both the same guy) on many occasions, and in a fair fight it goes on for about an hour. So yeah, sometimes when we're just messing around in Connecticut, we say "For the sake of our hands and eyes, no regens!"
If you have been playing Vanilla servers it is a difficult transition at first because as was rightly pointed out Vanilla have a no bats n bots rule during PvP.
This server is totally different and it is not against the rules to use them during PvP, unless you agree terms before hand.
As far as I am concerned using bat n bots during PvP is fair game and unless you want to die regularly I suggest you adopt the same ideals because others will use them.
