i wanted to make a lengthy post and use a lot of complicated words to look smart, but then i realised something: 'man - it's 4 am. screw them. go to bed.'
' Wrote:2milordai is far more within a pirate's roleplay than telling you his life story...
I bet that if someone stopped and gave you 2m without saying a word you wouldn't complain about immaginary lack or roleplay...
My point stands, learn to roleplay before you judge.
I will also add: this thread is very pointless. Suggesting some solutions could be better. Or, at the very least, stop cry.
Yes just breaking a lane and saying "2 Million or I start firing" Is amazing RP. Where as me stop and cooperating saying "Oh hello (Insert tagged or ID ship here) How are you and what's the fee for me to continue on." Now rogue. I do believe I RP more then what you just said. Im not crying Im just asking
for more interaction with pirates.
' Wrote:This is just a small rant but as a good percentage of veterans keep poofing cause of things like
this I want to just ask a small request of the pirates that stop traders.
More RP less pew pew!
Is that so hard?
Like seriously I stop every time for pirates and try to talk to them have a little RP conversation with them
and I get shot at cause Im not giving you your money. Like really whats your problem! Im going to pay you
instead of making it harder and giving you nothing!
All you indy pirates. I MEAN ALL! need to learn to RP cause I have yet to find a non faction pirate that RPs.
However, you cannot dictate other people's roleplay. Some people roleplay nice and talkative pirates and people call them good players and nice people. If one roleplays a brutal pirate, no matter how well he does it, he's a poor pirate and a bad person looking for blue messages, or pvpwhore in short.
Basically, what Martin said: quality of roleplay isn't measured by number of words. Of course, everything seems righter when it goes the way you want it to go.
I went out pirating last night for a couple hours. I met about a dozen transports.
One of them said something worth while and coherant and we let it go half price _and_ let it go free the next time we saw it. Oh and it was an indie powertrader too.
Most dribbled on about how we couldn't pirate them / were asking to much / we were oorp / we were gonna be sanctioned / bountied / etc and were forced to pay extra - or - ruthlessly slaughtered. This included various factionalised transports.
The rest silently thrusted/cruised away and got toasted with heavy hands.

It isn't our fault.
Evangeline, were you the one with the wedding thing? I think that was the only time I got stopped with a bit of RP.
