A ship that is designed to work covertly by Hiding underwater doesn't work in Space. Nothing can be done to make a 'sub-ish' ship work in a space situation.

Try proposing something that can shoot two novas in sequence rather than an abomination (sorry, I don't mean to be impolite in this) as that. I think it would be believable a very heavy bomber with an enormous power plant to work as the biggest nemesis to a BB. Again, it should steer like an old cow, and I think that drawback would suffice, something that could only practically come to scene if the BB has no fighter escorts, or if there are enough fighters engaging its escorts for it to pass the furball without any major hindrance. Perhaps the thrust capability of transports, I don't know.

What I'm thinking is: No chance (zip) whatsoever against fighters, no chance singled against BB, but a good table turner if properly used in a group.

But then again, perhaps including such a ship class is just asking for trouble, so take your GS/GB and be happy.

@ Wombat, it is an interesting idea, but as they said, it wouldn't work out with the cloak/torps...

For it to work, maybe set the manuverability to that of a Liberty Carrier (it stinks in that regard) armor somewhat decent, maybe around 20k, and no shield? Then use three torps and two lvl 6 turrets for fighter defense?

Also, an idea that came to mind while I was reading this, was an interceptor frigate. Two of the biggest CD's you can get, very good speed and medium manuverability, and low powered guns.

Not bad agility, bad hull and shield, good agility and speed. And that's kinda what I said to do with the interceptor...

These ideas are already implemented in a ship design....ITS CALLED MY AEGIS MISSILE SHIP
So, voting on what it needs can begin now/who its going to go to..

Sorry Vape, I just assumed that you weren't going to end up doing that.

How was I to know? Ah, well. Make sure it gets to the right people (Liberty or Outcasts...)
