I would ask respected members to read the whole topic so that i do not have to double post.

I have read it all, so do not assume I did not. That doesn't change my point however.

Rule of cool. Anyone can BS an RP backstory to justify Starlancer vessels. I still think that the Badanov and the Kiev were the most BA capships I've ever had the honor to fight, and the Grendel was the ship that I grew up with. Don't be sour for the sake of being sour.

Then you must have noticed that i was suggesting(on multiple occasions and very clearly) that they do not be imported as vessels equal to those of disco but rather as elements of folklore, cheap replicas for the fans of history and for some historical dates to replay historic events. That is been done today too,[attachmentid=640][attachmentid=641]

As replica ships not necessarily good for combat, that might be something neat. However, the problem with something like this is that someone will be killed in it and scream "Why add ships that can't fight!?" and 21 pages later, they get removed in lieu of something more Freelancerish. Another problem is the same as that of the Yacht. What good is a ship that is 71,000,000 credits that holds less cargo than comparably priced ships and is worse at fighting? Only a minority of people would actually fly these.

Honestly, I loved Starlancer and my Junker would definitely buy a replica Patriot or Mirage. Joys to fly and menaces to torpedo bombers for sectors around (except Gamma Wing of course;)), but I think the chances of them being added are minimal.

a point i would like to make is, Star lancer ships where actually more advanced than ships nowadays.

Humanity lost most of its technology due to their relocation, Having to get used to new Resources. etc, Most of the effort over the past 800 years has been to rebuild.

Infact, Only JUST are Sirians actually regaining their lost technology.

I.e. Jumpdrives, Ability to build their OWN jumpgates, Cloaking devices and the like.

I'm not so sure I would say that. The distances of Starlancer's ships were small distances in a single solar system. In Freelancer, Cruise Drive is pretty comparable to the Jump Drives (if not faster) while our jump gates go much farther (Venus --> Titan is not that far a jump from the first Jump Gate). Personal Jump Holes are somewhat pathetic too; jumping from Titan to Saturn isn't very far either.

aye but when ya think of how all the jumpgates we use are Alien Technology, Technically we cant say we own it. Our own jumpdrives will be pretty much the same as Starlancer ones, small jumps. The point i was making is we simply used an other species technology up until now or natural phenomena to get around. Without that, most ships would still be stuck to their Capital systems.

500 hp at least. Otherwise, they'd instantly die when rammed.
