When reading your suggestions I can say I agree with each of you about the gunboat. But the main idea of the proposal was not to add new turret hardpoints, to change maneverability of the ship or its size, the idea was to "buff" the ship, which in RP would be possible.
For example all points like adding more armor, increasing the power drain and automatically the damage output of the bret gb guns (maybe even reducing the speed from 4.00/3/2/1.00 refire rate), making the forward gun to drain more power but have better aim and more damage to compensate the slow turn rate of the gunboat, are points that can be achieved in the desperate Bretonian situation, especially in 4.86.
The proposal is with minimal changes to be fixed those broken elements of the bretonian fleet. It's not nice from our POV to watch LN/KNF/RM and everyone else to use a gunboat in their fleets with pride, and then to stare on our gunboat with shame.
I see a lot talk about the gunboat which is good but what about the paladin? Dont you agree it needs to be made nearly as good as the Guardian? Because right now Bretonia have these 2 ships under the flag of "not necessary". Both gunboat and the paladin are in RP outdated and with little changes they can be put back in to shape. A lot bretonians could feel more suited to chooce between Heavy ship as templar and lighter ship as the paladin but only if the paladin is balanced.
Look for example the information log of the Paladin:
Quote:With the continuation of the war with Kusari, whose Naval Forces rely on nimble snubfighters, the Bretonians made the decision to simplify the design and produce the Paladin en-masse to counter their foes' vessels, to provide a lighter alternative to the reliable but bulky Templars. The Paladin has bred a new type of pilot who ridicules the Templar and its loyalists.
Bretonia Royal Navy engineers already build this ship, so each of you that sais "Bretonia dont need fighter different than Templar, check this quote. The only thing that remains is Paladin to be fixed and that's.
It could be nice if someone that can work with ship creator programs shows an example of the Paladin's real model, or a proposal.
