I like the scimi as it is now, I don't think the 'enhancement' would make any difference to me.
On the barrier gate thing; I would say it should still only sell 3 ships, so you will have to get around sirius to get your favourite ones, instead of Barrier gate being a base, where you can get -everything-.
The reason for the scimitar not being sold at lawful bases, might be that it is BW tech, which is probalby not produced by any house or corporate facilities for various reasons; I would say the Outcasts build the majority of those.
I said neutral bases, not lawful bases. Not everyone can dock at an Outcast base. Freeports or Barrier Gate could do with a sellpoint for the Scimitar for us non-outcasts. The same goes for the Switchblade, actually.
I wouldn't mind travelling to a freeport somewhere to get the ship either, but the general consensus is that it would be more convenient at Barrier Gate - in my opinion flying around getting equipment isn't that interesting, and the fun begins once the ship is good to go.
The BW ships are exactly that - borderworlds ships, not outcast ships.
Dagger and Legionnaire are my favorite vanilla models.
It doesn't need longer nose. It doesn't look good in my eyes, moreover hitbox should be made bigger.
Making new models for Mk II ships just pushes the cool vanilla models out of the game. Look what happened with that piece of crap named Decurion on the sair side.
' Wrote:Buff all MK1 ships to MK2 standards instead.
I come to support such idea. People already start the game with CVS's, not fleas.
I'm not saying to modify all vanilla mk2 models, just this one - sort of the same way we have the Avenger - It's still vanilla content. In this case the longer nose simply comes from the Stiletto model.
It may not even be possible to do this, I'm no modeller. I think the Dagger should be kept the same as it is now though.
Or on other hand even better idea: bump every underpovered ship to mk2 status, make people start with CSV's and actual mk2 could be remade as actualy visualy advanced models of mk1's.
