Chokan, you will find everything we do is in compliance with Kusari Legal Codex.
Because we are born to obey, not to rule.
We do not make the laws. The government in place does.
We do not go around the laws, we apply and enforce them.
If the ones granted the honour to serve, protect and enforce the laws start to interpret and violate them, then who will be trusted enough for such a duty?
When someone violates the spirit of the law for their own benefit, and dismiss it as nothing: they bring shame on themselves and the those risking their lives daily for the republic.
Itabashi is just a base. We have plenty of installations built to protect Kusari interests in core space. Yours is no different from them, save that it is more vulnerable. I understand that it currently serves as your headquarters, that is well enough. New Tokyo has survived for hundreds of years without Itabashi, and would be no more vulnerable without it than any other patrolled planet.
Your statements are contrary: on one hand you speak of working together, on the other you label my simple outlining of the situation as 'bickering'. This does nothing to improve my opinion of you.
I was not planning to continue this exchange any longer, since you keep ignoring the points I raise.
For a second time you have threatened a member of admiralty in the field. You seem unable to acknowledge this. How can I trust you when you insult and threaten my officers as soon as a situation occurs?
[color=#FFFFFF]May your flights be free of fire,
Bakuryō-chō taru Kaishō Takahashi,
Kusari Naval Forces.
