Um, why? I thought the only reason Kusari wasn't already actively hostile with Gallia was the fact that the Gauls already smashed their Imperial Fleet, and currently have the Kishiro government doing whatever they want. Why would Kusari suddenly decide to help Gallia out of its own free will, given the great dishonour and shame blahblah that Gallia brought on the whole House? This doesn't make sense to me; more likely, I feel Kusari would happily join Bretonia in wiping the now-stranded frogs off the face of Sirius.

Maybe I'm just being stupid, but...
well i thought kusari were already in bed with Gallia anyway so they would likley just continue to help on request from whoever is in charge. no? maybe without the kings influence the Princess could rejoin her people and stuff. But again, i really dont know enough about that to comment.
The Villenueve is at the Leeds Jump Gate, not the Castres. Castres is near the Lewis JH.
As interesting as it sounds, I dislike it. It just brutally cuts everything off. GRN has no way to survive, even if they take Gaia and Harris. All the food and supplies come from Orleanais and Lyonnais. Without them, taking over Holloman, Java, and even Falkland would only work for a few months.
I personally don't think Kusari will help; I was told some time ago backstabbing was being discussed, and I gotta take that into account; so any real way to gain supplies would be, essentially, steamroll and roflstomp Leeds, Cambrigde, Newcastle, and New London.
If the backstabbing plans were abandoned, then Gallia can survive if Liberty doesn't go after Kusari. But then maybe Rheinland would step in with GRN and open up three fronts; New Hampshire, Kepler/Galileo, and Magellan. Ofc, that is all just assumption. If Liberty didn't find out, then after lolstomping Rheinland, Liberty could just focus on Magellan/Leeds.
Sorry for a bit of rambling.
If there is another avenue for even a chance at survival and coordinating serious resistance, then I'm all ears. Because, if the directly above paragraph is rendered moot by a Kusari backstab (which would be perfectly INRP, which can cause Liberty to use Kyushu to open up a second front on the Taus) then Gallia would be roflstomped in a few short months.
Gallia is big with lots of unused systems, that's right. We need to reduce the number of systems too, that's okay as well. But removing a whole house to which so many people's roleplay connects, that's not okay, and makes me feel you haven't really thought this through.
As been said before, the devs are already trimming systems, and not just in Gallia, because there are empty systems elsewhere too (idk if you have noticed those or not). And as been said before, better wait and see the result of the work of the developing team first. Currently I can add nothing else useful to the comments before mine. Only my opinion. No.
While it is quite rude to tell the devs to trash something they've worked hard on; Gallia just hasn't worked. Let them slowly downsize Gallia until either it disappears, or the amount of players there reaches an acceptable level.
Simply put, Gallia was ill-conceived and in my opinion should never have existed. I respect what the developers attempted to do and I'm sure a lot of other people will say they at least can appreciate that these people put a lot of effort into it but if the majority of people don't like Gallia the feelings of developers should not be used as a block for critique.
I read the story posted by Hidamari and while I can see flaws in that there is definately a basis for some more well explained story that can at least continue to make use of the models and possibly one or two systems that remain. I may post my idea once I've refined it but I'd like to get some information from people that lead factions involved first because obviously I need some details just to make sure I avoid silly mistakes or inconsistancies with the canon.
OP idea is quite freshing. Delete Gallia, move most of it to Taus/Edinburg and make GRN a minihouse as Coalition but bigger.
To ballance the forces Id made Liberty go war with Kusari, so they wont be able to help brets. OCs will push on CR in order to overtake em. So it will be brets/exiles/council vs GRN. Rheinland will be target for Sairs invasion, keeping rheinland off liberty. omicron war of sairs/ocs will be stopped and their lambda-eta acces gone so only sigmas for fights.
this what Id did.
but what sad is lots of work will be lost that was made by Devs - gallia TL/JG, systems, infocards and other
