Final Chapter - Jamie is back

THE AMPOLIROS Osiris class battleship, VICE ADMIRAL NIGHTFALL'S PRIVATE YACHT, GAMMA UNKNOWN

Lord Captain Luciaden was inspecting the ship and he looked satisfied "Nightfall, you did a fine job restoring her!".
"Yes, Lord Captain, but the credits must go to my Outcast brethren at Malta Shipyards, they even managed to make the cloaking field work to an extent, too bad the power generator was blown. None of us possess the technology to make one so powerful. Also, they say that the cloaking field becomes larger proportional to the power input. It works perfectly if we shut down all but the necessary systems to keep her moving unhindered and to keep us alive. Though, unfortunately we can't reproduce the technology. We managed to salvage a power generator from a Corsair Osiris, it seems that it's slightly weaker than the original one she had. It was pure luck the Tarja stumbled upon her floating like that in Omicron Major."
"Sir, we have a lone nomad fighter on approach vector" said the ensign by the sensors.
"Good, our first catch of the day! On screen, uncloak and fire when ready" said Nightfall.
Halfway between the two planets in the system, the ghost of the original Osiris, now under a new name - Ampoliros (the legendary ghost ship of Dune), uncloaked.
"Firing disruptor, sir!"
The hornet left a thin trail behind it and in less then two seconds hit the nomad fighter disrupting it's cruise.
"Cease fire!" reacted Luciaden "However unlikely, it's one of our men inside, it's Jamie"
"Sir, the nomad is hailing us" said the comms officer.
"Sir, I don't thinkk that's a way to greet a guest which brings presents" said Jamie.
"Can you bring that in man?" asked Nightfall.
"Of course, my friend here will gladly dock, though, he's a bit suspicious to the shape of your vessel, sir, lots of his brothers were sent to the maker by a similar shape"
"Just dock, you deserve a good rest" interrupted Dab.
No one could believe their eyes as they looked at the nomad fighter dock with the Osiris.
Nightfall gave the order to set course for Malta Shipyards. "Lord, I think you will want this nomad stripped of it's cloaking field generator and mount it on the Ableben"
"Good thinking!" said Luciaden "... and Jamie, you're looking at a promotion as soon as the doctors say you can fly again."
"Good job people!" finished Dab.

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
