Yes nomads are supposed to be aggressive, but I still think some talking is necessary. Even if its just asking the humans what the heck are you doing here, I at least think 'something' should be said before you cut to the killing.
+1 on this, good luck.
Of course I agree with you on this, but honestly, typing up that weird mind-speak stuff that Nomads seem to communicate with not only takes up quite a bit of time (unless you use set messages, which is lame) but also kind of decreases the HOLYCRAPIMSCREWED-factor. Silent, stealthy, appearing out of nowhere, murder machines - that's what would be awesome. If it was permitted by the rules and wouldn't immediately be abused by lolwuts.

That's why noms should have their custom cloaks. Because as it is now, noms appear at 14k on the victim's scanner as red target with their either Wilde or K'Hara tag, and they do anything to avoid them getting into CD range. In addition, lawfuls "metagame the player list", and send their gankfleets. Playing without tag is much more effective but not tracked on the activity list. So there have to be any advantages given to noms, to achieve the wanted "threat". For now, I prefer human over "balanced" nomad tech. If people like to see a more aggressive and scary nomad presence, they should stop complaining about them being able to kill them.
About nomspeaking, it is indeed not easy to start a talk as nomad, if your targets are already running at 14k, since they know that they're going to die if they'd stay. But of course, it's better to let them run, instead of dropping setmsgs and insta-kill anyone. (They'll return with support anyways.) So my opinion is, that nomads do either need more players or overpowered tech to compensate the lack of players, to be a serious threat.

Most of the K'hara can type in their lines pretty quick, as they know what they are doing, its not that much of a setback usually. Yeah it starts out slow, but by the time you are accepted into the K'hara after the recruitment process you can talk pretty well.
The cloaking is a good idea and I really hope that's implemented in the next update.
Quick question. I was attacked by you guys just outside the Coronado JH. You started with your visions and stuff and said you were going to exterminate me, which you did.
Not that I have any issue with this, as I did start attacking myself pretty early on and I was only one trader, but for future reference. Are you guys into RP, as in, discussing your reasons with humans before you kill them or shall we pretty much take it as reference to start firing as soon as we get disrupted out of cruise?
Now and then, the K'hara does discuss as you said above. Again there have been times where they only one line kill, but if they tend not to kill you within the first three seconds that you see them, then they probably will be willing to make you extremely scared with visions (thats what usually happens) or something along those lines.
to sum it up, the K'hara CAN roleplay, its not like its impossible for them to do so, and they CAN let you go if you give them a reason to let you live. This may be a little difficult, but its not unheard of. Its not like there's any obligations that they have to kill you.

Thanks.
Well, we pretty much kill anything, yes. The visions are the actual ''RP Before Engaging'' to satisfy the server rules. They do not make any sense RP-wise.
EDIT: Moveit is pretty much right. If the person bothers to RP in return, he might have a chance (Mostly because I am too distracted by trying to make sense of my nomspeak for them to understand and they take the lane while I do.). Engaging the cruise engine is an instant death deal. As soon as you hit Shift W, you die.

That almost always 'will' happen yes. Nomads tend to show up at the most random places, at the most random times. I actually make an effort to show up in places where nobody expects nomads to go, and it works out pretty well.

Anyone can join K'Hara, the recruitment phase is just to filter the noobs out to reduce chaos on the server.
