I'm doing another one cause I'm in the mood to do one, decided that it's going to be Ageira, seeing as Ageira has interests all over Sirius I'd be interested if people could give me interesting rumours or tidbits of information. Secondly Ageira is the main enemy of the Hackers so any input from the Lane hacker clan would be appreciated.

>>Hello again, Fastjack once more with another little aid for our Xeno fellows on the ground. This time Im putting Ageira under the microscope, they are one of our principle enemies in Liberty and one of Libertys Big Three corporations. I was going to get a Hacker to do this but after a serious amount of rather rude communications, they finally decided to tell me where I could stick the idea. So I got another fellow to put this together. Hes a freelancer working the Liberty scene and hes been around for a few years.
>>Fastjack

Ageira Technologies

By Two Tone

Well seems Fastjacks at it again. Suggesting we put this out there for the freelancers when its really for a bunch of crazy lunatics, but if it gives the lancers some heads up on what to expect when running Ageira ops then Im all for it. I aint going into Ageiras history because it aint necessary suffice to say its bloody old. It traffics in gate and lane parts and is the only company in the entirety of Sirius that does. There isnt another corp. in the sector that can claim to have a complete monopoly over one area even Planetform is under attack from some of the other megas in their attempts to secure at least some terraforming rights for the future. But tradelanes isnt Ageiras only claim to fame; they hold some pretty epic contracts all over Liberty and have some interesting subsidiaries on other parts of Sirius. Although their Rheinland subsidiaries are taking a pasting owing to the fact that Ageira has to basically smuggle stuff to them.

It seems theres a format for these things, well at least a precedent so Ill not change it.

In The Hot Seat

>>Yup its board folks again, Xenos can skip to the next part, freelancers seem to want to know their employers possible motives.
>>Fastjack

Ageiras board is set up like a normal company with people owning stocks worth huge sums of money. Theres a few interesting notes on the board though, not least an Interspace employee.

Howard Phelps

CEO

<1%

Phelps is CEO because he earned it, 20 years of deal making and power grabbing has given him the edge over the rest of the board, added to that the fact that under his auspices Ageira has gone from strength to strength, financially and you get a solid CEO package. Hes the only person on the board that doesnt own enough of the company to be there.

Larissa Dawes

VP in charge of Public Relations

7.8%

One crazy lady this one, shes got the PR job and seems happy with it, not attempting to steal anything else but then theres rumours of her engineering PR disasters in order for her department to clean up. The rest of the board arent happy about it and are busy collecting evidence of her mania. Expect her to be gone before the year is out.

Kelvin Harris

VP in charge of Research and Development

16%

Rich boy. Daddy bought him a company. At least on paper. Turns out that the 35 year old Harris can really turn a buck, hes got an eye for making things work and was recently asked to turn the fortunes of Ageiras R&D department around. So far so good as Ageira has been putting out some hot new toys including their latest urban assault mech.

>>Its unclear how Kelvin actually got the position of head of R&D as nobody on the board will admit to having invited him to the position.
>>Desire

Ariene De Vite

5%

Ariene holds Interspaces current seat on the board, she has no voting rights and cant actually influence policy, and shes basically there to ensure that Interspaces money isnt being squandered. She and Larissa are good friends often seen out in Manhattans social scene..

>>Rumour has it that thats not all they share, as Ariene is head of Interspaces Resource Acquisition Department, the department that hires freelancers like you and me. Given that some recent runs on Ageira have gone horribly well. Well Ill leave you to draw the conclusions
>>Vanity Fire

That's Ageira so far. Any feedback?

Oh and check out the funky banner Hyung Soong made for the Cryer Corp post.

Excellent. Really gives food for thought. I've been reading the one about Cryer. I think the posted one doesn't have a link to a feedback thread but I didnt want to post in it (I saw the firewall remarks).
I have one suggestion about Cryer - the fact that alien organisms and nomads fetch such a good price on Cambridge - Is this where much of Cryer's innovations originate? Are there experiments goihg on that could be ......monstrous..... too grotesque......unspeakable?

Cambridge Research Station

Cambridge Research Station is part of a joint program between the Cambridge Research Institute and Cryer Pharmaceuticals. The station pursues a broad range of research, but primarily focuses on the development of medicines and bioware that require a zero-g environment. Thats the press blurb notice anything missing, yep theyve seemed to forget about one of Cryers more active research projects, that of Alien Organisms. The research is highly classified. Between the Queens Intelligence Division and the LSF its almost impossible for the folks working on it to know what it is their actually working on. But if you want to make some cash and you can find a source, they pay good cred for first class specimens.

That's what I wrote for cambridge. I kinda hinted at some stuff, if you want to add more feel free to post in there. The firewalls are shoddy and Fastjack is about the only thing capable of stopping you, but any information additional to what's there is great. I'd like these to have characteer input from players, turns it from my creation entirely, into something of a community consensus.

Theodore Wallis

VP in charge of Military

26%

Yup thats right this man owns a damn big chunk of Ageira, and runs their military division, now this covers the security aspect as well although he has split those up into sub divisions and given them their own power. It seems to be working.

>>Yeah watch out for the Lane Security boys if youre out and about. Coachwhip kicked up a fuss with them a while ago and they aint forgiven us yet.
>>Copperhead

Yelena Royce

VP in charge of Shipping

7%

Yelena is one of the quiet ones; she keeps herself and her department tidy and free from corporate mishaps. Whilst she maintains the shipping division well, her private life is somewhat murky, with rumours of all manner of LPI charges.

>>The LPI werent willing to tell me what theyd charged her with in the past, so I took the liberty of stealing the information. Seems most of its for public disorder, drunk and disorderly and public indecency. Nothing particularly scandalous, but she might want to reign it in a bit.
>>The Smiling Bandit

James Davis

13%

The entirety of James stock is actually owned by other people, hes just their representative on the board, but having him there they gain some power and can influence Ageiras direction. However hes not been given a VP position instead hes only Division Manager of the Media department, seems Phelps doesnt want him running anything without him knowing exactly whats going on. As a result Davis is keen to prove himself and the Media division has been throwing out some cracking stuff recently, including snatching the contract for re-branding the old Southern Alliance.

The rest of the stocks are held by individual folks, the actual public, without forming into a group they dont get any rights to board access, so they just have to deal with AGMs and dividend reports.

The last of the board

Divisions of Ageira up next.

Making It Big

Everyone knows Ageira make trade lanes and have a contract with DSE to jointly make jumpgates, but you dont get to be one of Sirius tier 3s without having additional corporate muscle to back you up. So Im going to detail some of the divisions and what they do and what they own.

Ageira Shipping

Well when you think of Ageira Technologies these are on half of that combination, its these guys who get the trade lane parts where they need to go, not that most of us care, we tend to use them and take them for granted. The shipping division makes a tidy profit every year and is never in need of bailing out.

Known Subsidiaries: None. Ageira Shipping does all the shipping for each division.

Ageira Media

Ageiras shining light, recently these boys have been doing good all throughout Sirius, their subsidiaries in Kusari and Rheinland are putting out quality media and the Rheinland subsidiary even picked up the contract for replacing Rhinelands civilian cortex hardware.

>>Ageira arent pulling any punches with this contract they are desperate to prove to the Rheinlanders that they can be trusted to maintain corporate neutrality despite rising tensions between the two Houses. Of course Ageira hasnt actually said they own the corp. doing the re-fit, which could hinder those chances.
>> Gotteskreiger

Known Subsidiaries:

Hinode Yokyou

Ageiras Kusari media conglomerate is a nice corporate player, keeping itself clean and doing as the Shogunate asks with its media guidelines. As a result they arent a target of the Hogosha and actually help the Hogosha against Cryers Kusari subsidiary.

Sonnenaufgang-Unterhaltung

This is the Rheinland outfit with all the shiny new contracts; it only covers the civilian aspect of security as the Kreigsmarine handles its own cortex security. But its a biggie. However Ageira cant crow about it, else theyll lose their only high flying Rheinland subsidiary.

>>This ones killing Davis, on the one hand his division has just landed a plump contract, on the other if he even mentions it hell lose it for sure.
>>Gotteskreiger

Other than that Sonnenaufgang owns a TV station and a couple of radio stations putting out good quality media for the masses.

So far so good, the Rheinland stuff is being dicussed, but I'm hoping I can make it stick as it could open up some interesting RP opportunities for folks who want to be civilians in rheinland.

Ageira Military

This is one of the big ones; it covers a number of smaller sub divisions including Security and Mercenary operations.
The security operations eat money, the Lane Security team makes ends meet with escort runs, but its costs far outweigh what it can bring in. However Ageira has mercenary outfits operating out in the Tau’s credit’s good there and The Mercenary team pulls in what Lane security lacks. Of course Ageira Mil has contracts to supply the Lib Navy and LSF, as well as the LPI with Havoc Bombers so that bring s in a hell of a revenue, although those contracts may come to an end if DSE can finish up it’s designs for the Liberty Bomber, a custom designed ship.

>>Ageira has had something of an embarrassment however with one of it’s latest toys the RI suite in the new assault mechs has turned out to be unpredictable, sparking rumours that some of them may have gone full AI.
>>Tomahawk

>>Rumour my foot, Ageira has kept on top of it so far but there’s only so much they can do to hide the fact they screwed up with this latest Restricted Intelligence.
>>Bobbins

Known Subsidiaries:

Lane Security

Lane security is Ageira’s response force for the lanes, where there are trade lanes, you should see the occasional LS patrolling, they have a live and let live policy regarding pirates, so long as they aren’t disrupting the lanes then it’s fine. The same held true for the Xenos up till three months ago, but an attack on 003 outside Newark by Serpentis Ace Coachwhip caused that little understanding to fall apart.

>>Yup that he did and we couldn’t care less, Lane Security are pawns of Ageira and are to be treated as such.
>>Cobra

>>Senseless fanatics, you cannot win.
>>Skalde

>>Now is as good a time as any to mention the Lane Hackers, whilst Ageira denies any claims that they are ex employees, it’s about as obvious as Xenos recruiting on Huntsville.

The Lane Hackers are currently led by director Moriarty, whether that’s his real name or not is up for debate as being hackers they’ve managed to remove just about all trace of their identities from the Cortex. The Hackers try to cause as much trouble for Ageira as possible and they don’t half make a dent in Ageira Mils quarterly profits.
But any attempts to wipe them out have so far proven to be somewhat pointless. The authorities have caught any number of Rogues and Outcasts operating on Lane Hacker tip offs, but they've never yet managed to lay a finger on a single Lane Hacker, you'll not see any of Moriarty's men sitting in Sugarland making hats and licence plates.

>>GateWatcher

>>Hmm, is that all we get? Ah well at least it means our secrets are not compromised. Oh and Fastjack if we ever catch you snooping around our systems again, I’ll be sure to ensure my Hackers liquidize your brain.
>>Moriarty

>>Duly noted, of course they’ll have to catch me first. Now get out of my Archive!
>>Fastjack

>>>User Moriarty has been ejected<<<

>>Nice try
>>Moriarty

>>Lancers listen up, frankly this goes for Xenos too, Ageira has a security division they tell nobody about, and I do mean nobody. I only know they exist because we met them on a run, they fragged us but good, we barely managed to get out alive. They are called the Ghosts and that’s a good name. Highly modified for Stealth, Strength and Speed. They hurt.
>>Slammo!

Ageira Research and Development

This is where the big money in Liberty is, Universal and Interspace don’t dabble much in experimental technologies, they prefer ones that work, however Ageira’s history is rooted in R&D and they’ve only gone from strength to strength since. It’s Ageira R&D that designed the RI systems that the Military division use, but the Military division insists on tweaking them. They are currently working on making their civilian starship weapons line that much more effective.

>>Of course Ageira R&D also works continuously on its Debilitator line, which is incredibly popular around Sirius, so popular in fact the Detroit and Pueblo get raided on a regular basis by Xenos looking to score some tasty shield busters.
>>Fastjack

Where the Cool Kids Are.

Ageira doesn’t have much in the way of space facilities, but it’s got a few nice pads dotted around Liberty’s planets. Of course for all you space cases the two most obvious places are the space ports, Detroit Munitions and Pueblo, so I’ll detail them first.

Detroit Munitions

Stuck way out there at the ass end of New York, Detroit was the biggest target of the Xenos in times past, however since Ageira started hiring Bounty Hunters to keep the place safe it seems the Xenos prefer the slightly less defended Pueblo. Detroit manufactures small scale arms. Kind of Pueblo’s little brother.

>>Detroit pays very well for lancers looking for a bit of combat action, often times Xeno teams will infiltrate the station and all you’ve got to do is clean them out.
>>Pittsburgh Pony

>>You are aware you’re accessing this through a Xeno Archive?
>>Fastjack

>>Ah yeah, forgot where I was for a second. <display grin>
>>Pittsburgh Pony

Pueblo Station

Pueblo has a better spot in Colorado, nestled nicely between the Jumpgate to New York and the Battleship Rio Grande just up the tradelanes. Pueblo makes the big guns and it’s where a lot of the ship panels for Liberty’s finest vessels come from. It’s also where the codes for those little white boxes are generated; as such it’s got a bit more security than Detroit, including passing cruiser patrols sent by the Navy to ensure that Pueblo stays mostly Xeno free.

Ageira HQ

Located on Los Angeles, Ageira’s headquarters is a state of the art, modern facility boasting all thee mod cons any corper needs to get through his day. It’s very highly secured and pretty much inviolate. Try it at your own peril.

Ageira Corporate Retreat

Located on OSCs lovely little orb out in Cortez, the retreat is located in 150 acres of sprawling countryside, animals can be seen from behind the very big fence and towers and other fun stuff designed to keep the plebs out.

>>Everyone of those animals is a hologram, they have to be as all 150 acres of that countryside are littered with smart mines designed to go off if anyone without an Ageira certified RFID tag implanted so much as puts a foot on them. They feel solid to touch, but they have zero weight so thusly can’t set them off.
>>Uniface

That’s it. Everything you need to know about one of Liberty’s Big Three. Enjoy.

That's the lot, the moriarty cameo is subject to approval from Xoria, as it is his character.
