Her attention was caught by the distracted man at the bar who finally answered her question, her mind went of on a tangent thinking how silly the name everclear was for a drink when she heard the distinct sound of glass shattering. When the freelancer turned she noticed that her little attempt at being nice for a change was not well received, she decided then and there that she didn't like this guy. Dislike was an understatement.

Shifting her weight from one leg to the other the security officer half heard the self glorifying rant directed at her before smiling at him. She was looking for trouble now. "Wow." She plopped loudly in the booth along with the stranger. "Ain't you the big kahoona. Running Sirius and all..." She then looked around the bar, taking it in as if it was the first time. "I always tought you big 'baus' types liked more classy places." She spared the barman a look. "No offense." Dayayra's attention came back to the man sitting across from her. "But you're right, we both got better things to do, I'll let you continue whatever it is you do to get by in your miserable life." And with that she stood up, sarcasm evident in her every move and the synthetic smile on her face was far from the authentic thing. "B'bye... Sucker."

She made her way back to the bar but this time sat herself closer to James so she can keep an eye on the new friend she had just made, in case he wanted to shake her hand. The alcohol in her system making her think that she could handle anything that he may or may not throw at her.

Turning back to James she tried to remember what he had said, he introduced himself first and then went on to say that he was the captain of... "The Counterfeit Coin eh?" Just like that her tone changed to a genuinely friendly one. "I've seen your ship around the New York system plenty of times." She stretched out a hand to him. "Dayayra Burgos, I fly for USI keeping pirates away and all that." She introduced herself properly while looking over James shoulder at a very odd character playing with a coin.

"So James you a trader I reckon?" She asked him. "I am a part time freelancer by the way. In case you ever..." She saw three not so friendly looking males approached the newest patron but ignored it. "In case you ever need an escort or a guide to and through the Omegas I'm yer' gal."

A man not far past 41 clothed in a old faded flight jacket and jumpsuit walked into the bar. Darius had managed to land his Surveyor in a nice quite landing bay somewhere off the beaten track of the main Manhattan skyline, walked down a adjacent alley and found his way to the bar. Looking around he noticed the bar was only small. Booths clung to the walls, various patrons sitting in them either chatting or passed out. Bathrooms were nearer to the back. Managing to find a booth nearer to the back of the bar at the side wall he took out a cigarette lit it and sat back.

It felt odd to be back on terra firma, too long in space he suspected. Whenever he was away for the Prospect he always felt like this. Now sadly it was permanent for the foreseeable future, with the mining vessel docked at Allentown for repairs. Ever since the Outcast raid the Prospect had been gutted, some of his best crew killed. The old DU5-7Y was tough but not that tough. Now back in Liberty, (years since he was here last) he was back to helium extraction in Pennsylvania (something that he did not particularly relish) except instead of the BMM it was the DSE stealing his hauls. He missed flying through the gold fields of Dublin, the feel of the solar winds on his back and always looking over his shoulder for Molly's or the odd Corsair. The Mollys were no threat, it just gave the gunnery crews some target practice. The Corsairs on the otherhand they mean't business.

Looking round the bar he took note of the various patrons it housed. Up near the front was a bald headed pilot with a headset hanging precariously around his neck with his mouth going at a hundred miles a minute. He was engaged in rapid conversation with the barman over the counter. He had the look of a small-time trader eager in youth ready to make his fortune out in the stars, stars that only contained greed-driven corporations and equally greedy and desperate pirates. Opposite him was an elderly man, wearing a long black vest with slacks and shoes. Obviously Intelligence, Darius often tried to avoid their types not trusting their next move. A women sitting with the old man in the booth, was engaged in drunken conversation with him looking slightly off-put by his presence. She had the look of a Corsair yet with the uniform of a USI which slightly surprised Darius. With the Corsairs it was often a relationship of mutual necessity, they wanted the credits and you wanted you life and haul. It was like the economy everything had its place. Lounging back in his chair he mused trying to the remember, a thought tickling the back of his sub-conscious. Benitez yes that was the name he had encountered before in Dublin. They would take a share of the spoils and you would be aloud to keep your haul.

He raised his hand signaling to the barman at the counter "Barkeep get me you strongest cheapest drink something that at least resembles whiskey". He sunk deeper into his chair.[/color]None of these crap establishments every had any good quality drink. He looked at the elderly man again who was now fingering one of the bars fine examples of drink. Looking at him dredged up something he wished had kept suppressed. What did they call them, he flicked through the names as though going through a list that represented his journeying through Sirius and space. Bluies, Squid, Uglies, Nomads........... Xeno.

That last thought caused Darius to give out a small involuntary shudder. He ran his fingers across the shoulder-pad covering a worn and faded out patch. Tracing the letters he inscribed into the jacket the letters: A-N-S C-a-l-i-s-t-o. He pushed those back into his subconscious, that was another past life he would rather forget. Agitated now and noticing a Bounty Hunter who had stumbled into the bar proclaiming loudly at the top of his voice"Ah! Good old 'Hattan!" he walked up to the counter to try and get his most sought after drink.

The thud of a heavy boot a few meters from the table he was sitting at caught his attention.
He looked up from the platinum coin and saw a small gang of three thugs approaching him. Eager not to draw publicity, Lux looked away from the thugs and back at his coin, as if he was playing them into his hands.
"Oi, hunter" The tallest male spoke. His breath stank of beer and the stench trapped itself within his own dark greasy beard. Same cannot be said for his head, which was bald. He had a scar across his left eye.
"I see you've got a nice looking coin there, why don't you hand it over and ye won't get hurt?"
Lux ignored him.
"You got a hearin' problem or somethin'?" He asked, Lux still ignoring him.
The man slammed his fist on the table, the sound echoed across the room.
Lux looked up. "Hm?"
"Hunter, if you value your limbs, you'll give up that coin. So what will it be?"
"Chocolate milkshake with the works pal" Lux joked.
The man grabbed Lux by the neck, hoisting him up against the wall.
Various eyes in the bar turned and stared.
"Are you an idiot or something?" The thug said angrily.
"Dunno, one thing's for sure. You're the worst looking barmaid I've ever seen".
Furious, the thug threw Lux across the room and into the bar, right in-between where James and Dayayra were sitting. The other two thugs sniggered.
"Evenin'" He said, wincing as he got up. "Wonderful evening, no?" He turned to the bartender "Sorry about the mess, I'll clean it up".
"Oh no, I'll clean up the dent in the table" The bartender said.
"Hm? Nah, I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about these three knuckle-heads who thing they can push ME around".
He looked directly at the leader of the trio, even if he was bigger than Lux himself, it still didn't make him change his mind about going after him.
Lux then propelled himself at the thug, fist raised ready to connect with his face.

Arriving at the bar Darius looked around. Instead of finding the barman at the counter he was looking on with a sort of half-amused smirk across his face at an altercation between three thugs and the newly arrived Bounty Hunter. The thugs had flung the Bounty Hunter across the floor into the USI pilot and trader and now was prepared to go at another round of fighting. The Bounty Hunter who had just curtly apologized to the barman picked himself up and readied himself again to fight.

Now annoyed as well as agitated Darius observed the fight. With the barman backed up against the wall and the rest of the patrons of the bar looking in half-interest it would be impossible to get his drink now, at-least not until the end of the fight. Letting out a low audible sigh he picked himself up walked over to the nearest thug who had all his attention on the Bounty Hunter tapped him on the shoulder who turned around and delivered a uppercut to the jaw that knocked out the thug.

Distracted, the thugs turned round to observe the newcomer. During this Lux threw a sucker puck at thug on the left, making him fall to the ground.

Another man walked into the bar.

"Hi there. Joesph Anderson Petrie, but you can just call me Petrie. Anyways, looks like this dumbass Lux got himself in a bit of a pickle. I don't like uneven fights."

The man prepares himself to fight, and goes in to help Lux.

When the woman began talking in a more sarcastic tone than before, Terrance toned her out allowing his eyes to travel over to a couple of the newcomers. It wasn't long until the Bounty Hunter found himself trouble, which only made Terrance sigh lightly to himself.

Though he was thankful that the girl had stopped talking to him, amused, that he had to play the unfriendly and unsympathetic patron. She did after all buy him a drink, he mused on the though for a moment about returning the favor when shouting could be heard. Terrance glanced over to see three of the thugs in the room making their way towards, as quick as it happened one of the newcomers threw a punch that the thug hadn't seen, and apparently it was hard enough to make the man fall, within a couple of seconds the second of the three thugs was down.

He let out a soft sigh and reached inside his jacket and pulled out a sleek black pistol, which he promptly aimed at the ceiling and fired a single shot. The hope was to stop the unnecessary fight from causing more harm.

"That's enough." He said loudly seconds after having pulled the trigger. "Its bad enough we have to deal with humans killing humans in space for pathetic reasons. We don't need it happening in a bar. I thought... this was a civilized establishment. Make it that way."

Joesph looks over, holding one of the thugs at the collar.

"Whoops. Hehe. Sorry."
