Sorry but just to let you know, given the way the Devs handled my thread just now in relation to mod changes. What with childish responses from Alley and Hidamari.

I wont be donating to the Discovery Mod again, regardless of the financial situation even though I can afford it well if the developers dont care to take my concerns seriously then I wont endeavor to take their mod seriously.

So yeh GG Devs you just lost Discovery another donater, this is my way of telling you I am not happy with how you have handled the situation!

I think you will find that it has been stated that this is EXPERIMENTAL. That means that it will not stay this way, but purely an EXPERIMENT.

There is no need to keep making new Threads about the Subject. We and the Devs are aware of the situation and it will be changed, because it is at an EXPERIMENTAL STAGE.

The point is not the Hellfire Rocket Boost the point is other canon aspects of the mod like BS Cerbs were nerfed into oblivion without prior discussion or thought to the effects it would have on gameplay.

Everything that is canon that has been changed just "because we can" shows a cavalier approach.

While I agree that Black Widow was intemperate with his delivery and his language, I have to say that, as someone that has been trained in customer support, seeing this is rather sad.

The technique employed in the quote is a derailment of the argument by taking offense to the customer; in effect, making an Ad Hominem attack at the customer because the customer was offensive. It is also usually considered a method of last resort because it means that you cannot effectively rebutt the customer's argument, so you are trying to redirect the discussion by making it about the customer instead of the issue.

Personally, I don't care about the argument one way or another, but accusing a paying customer of unacceptable behavior and language while showing off your vocabulary in a flame war is an abuse of your authority, especially when Black Widow correctly points out that the "staff" responses were offensive when he originally posted. Especially telling is the demand for respect in the main paragraph, as if you, as staff members, are Entitled to respect while the customers are not. Respect is given, not taken.

You haven't fooled anyone with this maneuver, you've merely shown what you are willing to do to "win" in a situation where there shouldn't be losers in the first place. Comment is as important as content, and your comment totally subverts your content by raising the emotional atmosphere, especially the rather obviously False good wishes at the end.
