Hey fellas/girls or whatever ( you never know these days:))

All in all a great idea well done, however.
A lot of you could do with a bit more RP before the pew pew:)
Less small one liners and a bit more " grrr...i'me going to get you for that " would be cool:)

Even saw a BPA try to RP with some in Dumblin and all he got for his trouble was silence followed by pew pew.

Other than that, nice:)

Send me the name of the Reaver who didn't provide an engagement notice along with screenshots.

To be honest?

Nothing. Ideally.

A member engaging without saying a line should be meant to get someone in trouble. Because that person should be in trouble. Casually throwing out that rules are being broken by persons whom the name of cannot be recalled isn't good enough. It's meaningless. It's empty. It's poison.

Back when I was running the XA a member docked on a Junker base. He didn't know what was what. Xoria of all people noticed it and told me. Five minutes later the faction was grounded until everyone passed a knowledge test. If Xoria had just said "your members are screwing up fix kk thx" I would have told him to eff off. He gave me a name, he gave me images. He gave me a reasoned image of what took place and the situation was acted upon.

Then we have this. Which is based on a situation which, frankly, isn't accurate.

Let's hypothesize that bpa engaging without saying a word, after which Ghost dropped two lines while under fire followed by Silver opening up in turn. Which is something they wouldn't bother dropping on the bpa faction or leader because they didn't particularly care. Nor do they have proper screens because the members involved didn't much care, they just said their lines to prevent being sanctioned and returned fire. Because we didn't have anything nor cared to have anything is why you didn't hear us rumble about it.

I care. I wish they had recorded it. Because it'd be good to send that information along. Oh well.

If we did care we'd carefully measure the message we wished to impart, ensure we had the materials we needed to back up our point and then deliver the feedback in such a way to address what we perceived as a direct issue. In this case it'd be directly the faction leader because it concerned the conduct of a specific member which should be handled by said leader rather than as a slash to the face of the group overall.

Because anything less than that isn't useful. It's drive by spray and pray criticism.

As for the rp prior to engagement bit. The next time you feel like this happens either pm me or put the situation here. If it seems to me like a case where someone's legitimate good times on a combat character were compromised I'd like to see it and make an internal adjustment. But without something to work with I'm going to basically tell you the same thing I tell the 18 sabres ganked by gunboat crowd: Give me something work with or bugger off.

Thanks for the nudge.

I like you more when you work for Mollys rather than against them.

Good feedback? =D

Likely the most honest feedback in Discovery history.

Had a couple of tilts with your guys as a privateer and just wanted to post some impressions.

The lines and RP side of things have been great every time. Never seen a single line engagement from you guys, never been shot while not moving (typing) or anything like that. The 3 to 4 lines that do get said are usually a nice and sarcastic exchange of wit. I don't look forward to fighting you guys because you're good, but I've never felt like I'm going to get unreasonably engaged.

Now, more constructive comments. I have kept it in mind that I'm pretty bad at pvp, and also am currently flying a mouldy crow set up for interdiction rather than dogfighting and my wingman is flying a challenger set-up for the same (so our poor pvp skills are made even worse compared with dogfighting steups)

The tech you guys use, it's a little overwhelming. I can understand multiple tech deals to give each merc a choice of what they want to fly. A Black Dragon with IMG weapons and a Sabre with Corsair weapons seems to be a little much. If an freelancer tried proposing the same idea as a "is this possible" on the forum, regardless of that member's ability to rp, diplomacy etcetera, it would get shot down with a number of "choose role not ship responses." I'm not against a merc group having a colourful collection of tech, it adds character. I would suggest toning down the weird combinations. Like everyone else has to by ID, accept the limitations of your role and specifically of the ship each merc chooses to fly.

Either I have the worst luck ever, or some of your members are using the players online window to hunt down tagged targets. We all look at that window (and justify it in rp in difference way), because I realize hunting bounties or pirating is pretty boring if you head over to some systems just to find that they're all empty. I really don't know how to balance this or what to suggest. It's frustrating to log-on and watch every reaver slowly converge on the system I'm in, especially when I move two or three times. At the same time, I'm actively watching it to know where you guys are, so I'm kind of doing the same thing. I guess the gist here is if a QPC crow is worth so much following, you need more targets; I see you guys more than the KNF.

In practice, I try to ignore tags when using the player list to pick an operations point. I really attempt to just look at how "busy" the system is. Almost makes me wonder if the player list couldn't be changed to not show systems, instead only showing how many people are in each system and which people are online. Would add a nice "long-range scanner" touch, but admittedly might making bounty hunting pretty tough.

All in all, some thoughts to consider. Hope I made some sense and didn't ramble on too much. Now for me to go find some skills so I can actually fight you without getting spaced....

Hey Diomedes. I'm glad to hear that you've not found your combat engagements with us to be simple driveby affairs. I know that we all enjoy a little back and forth.

To your concerns.

First, do we use the player list? Yes. Absolutely we do. That you see us more than the KNF is likely a knock on them rather than us given the relative size of our faction. But if we see a high value target we will go for it. If we see a high value target which is otherwise not engaged we will make every effort to destroy it.

If we see a high value target which is already in a fair and balanced fight and you find yourself engaged regardless let me know. That's bad form. But in all other respects consider yourself fair game wherever a bounty is on your person. As you stated looking for bounties from system to system is a bit problematic. It doesn't really work. As such we employ the player list. We expect the same, and routinely get, treatment from those who are hunting us.

As to technology. I don't feel that there's anything particularly wrong with the technology that we're using at the moment. A Black Dragon with IMG guns isn't, I feel, any more overwhelming than a Black Dragon with Hogosha or Corsair guns. If anything less so, given the relative damage you can expect from IMG tech. Likewise Corsair weaponry on a Sabre.

Given the potency of kit employed by the qcp, namely Bretonian weaponry such as the drool worthy Splitter and whatever else you guys might have, I feel that we're very evenly matched.

If you're wondering what all we use feel free to click on the link in my sig for a full lineup.
