Forgot how to enjoy Skyrim ?

Which bug and do you have the PC version? And what stage in the quest are you on?

From what I've read, it's because I broke into Black Briar manor before I started the Thieves Guild quest line. Now after having completed the second quest "Loud and clear" it doesn't send me to the next one "dampening spirits". I can't talk to Brynjolf or Mercer. Maven acts like she doesn't know me and doesn't mention anything about the mission. Tried talking to Sabjorn and Mallus who are also involved. No luck there either.

As far as I can tell there is no fix or workaround this. I'm playing on Xbox btw so no console commands. :/

If anyone got any ideas or suggestions I'll be happy to listen. I'm drawing a blank.

What is the max level btw?

in vanilla, i was testing with the console. max level reached was 81. not sure if there are any new skills available in vanguard. if there are, then it will probably higher. but i didnt launch skyrim since i got the dlc, so not sure.

Ended up getting Dawnguard instead. Trying it out now - and actually having fun. I didn't like the whole werewolf thing back when I was in the Companions. Beomg a Vampire Lord is just sort of fun.

So I've managed to kill Harkon. And I'm hauling Serana around as a follower now, since she's possibly the most interesting NPC in the whole game. And oh yeah, my wife (Ysolda) just thanked me for turning her into a vampire as well.

In what's a fun thing, I managed to get about 4 levels of Vampire skills in one simple battle. Went out on one of those raids to take over an Imperial fort - but instead of meeting up with the Stormcloaks, I changed into a Vampire Lord and then attacked the fort.

The Stormcloaks came up then, and once I killed off the Imperials, the Stormcloaks kept attacking me, too. And they kept re-spawning after I'd kill off a wave. Normally took me about 15 or so of them draining their life forces and I'd go up a level. Fun times, killing my 'allies'...

Also ran into a video glitch - I'm going to have to go to an earlier save and see if it happens then as well. I went into Yngol Barrow and the video went wonky on me. That's as a level 68 character, and with 8 of the 11 vampire lord perks.
