On there being 8 sleepers... it IS a possibility if we go with the extended intro. It appears that the war continued after the 5 main sleepers got away. The French may have built a sleeper with the others, but were betrayed at the last minute, preventing liftoff.

Of course, I still prefer the short intro where the Coalition conquers Sol, since it makes more sense, but if we're going with the long one, we're going with the long one...

4.85 Reunion or French Revolution ? it could be Quebec, Polynesia, or any french speaking north African/African countries. Langage is just an aspect of culture not specifically country related. Btw Corsicans are considered french except if they've got their independancy in FL.:P

Yeah, the Outcasts are mainly Italian based and the Corsairs (and Zoners actually) are Greek based. Both have a mix of Spanish in them too.

About the 8 sleeper ships...maybe the other 3 were built after the original launch of the first 5. When those other 3 launched, they were destroyed because the Coalition made the mistake of letting the first 5 escape and weren't gonna do it again. The bartender said they were destroyed, so I want to remain consistant with that fact.

As for the name, I was thinking Gallia, the Latin name for Gaul, which is what the Franks called France when they settled there. Read about it here:

I'm of the opinion that the most likely scenario is that they were built at the same time, but only 5 were able to launch.
