If you follow that logic, I should be able to do that to enemy battleships as well.

Really? I didn't know that seeing an enemy ship was considered sufficient roleplay.

I've been playing at quite the disadvantage for the past 3 years then, yes?

You're comparing apples and oranges.

They're both fruit, both grow on trees, and both are delicious.

They are very comparable.

I get the difference.

I'm not arguing it. I'm saying some rp before the boom would be nice. Even if it is only a 1 minute warning. At least it's something.

I also would prefer the use of guns, and not using admin passwords to remove supplies. I didn't see Cannon say anything about this method of base destruction though, so I assume it's still fine from a rules standpoint.

If we can call what he said a "rule" anyways.

With Omicron 74 considered...

The fact is with any force as big as the Omicron fleet has currently assembled, there's bound to be a few lulwuts. Some are Alliance alts blowing up platforms, some are anti-Alliance indies, and some simply shouldn't be there. There's always (sadly) going to be some people who don't Rp before attacking bases, but that doesn't make it acceptable.

InRp though, the Omicron 74 bases have been under a constant state of siege for nearly a month now, so maybe people utilise that as their reasoning.

I guess blindenguaging bases is harder to counter and more easy to justify since a base is an NPC effectively and cannot Rp back, whilst a player is a player and will report (and rightly so) you if you just start firing the moment you log, so it's a very easy crime to get away with.

Regardless, I always try and keep a four-or-more lines of Rp minimum before enguaging anything other than a ship-based NPC, even under circumstances where the hostile is actively seeking engagement.

To my knowledge, the only rules that currently apply to bases are:
- Don't attack outside your ZoI (if we see Legates in the Taus, or Valors in Rheinland, CTE750 will be applied by yours truly)
- Don't attack bases of your allies (same deal, pull that kind of bull and you'll see those battleships starflier'd)

These may be subject to change lateron, but that's the situation as is.

Corsairs blowing up Zoner bases in their ZoI: I see no problem with that. Zoner bases aren't friendly to Sairs, they're neutral. Zoner bases aren't untouchable.
Corsairs blowing up GMG bases in Okinawa: Don't really see a problem with that one either. It is at the edge of their ZoI, but still in it. And the GMG are Sair enemies.

Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.
