A war beetween Liberty and Rheinland would be great for RP.
All the "capship whores" can go to bering and the other system and have some fun doing naval operations against each other, while the police can go use fighters again and keep the peace against pirates. Less bored capital ships everywhere. Or, it could have been that way, if RM weren't so anal about independent cap ships.
And please stop with the faction fascism. If I don't want to be in the LN and still RP a Liberty navy cruiser, i should. Because if there was a war to use them in, fewer people would bother to use them to ttack single fighters and such.
Here's the problem Cynic: Liberty has hordes of independents in capital ships: Rheinland has zero, because of their no-independent capital ships policy. So yeah, it'd be the RM faction alone against all of Liberty. Not fair at all.

As I said above, that'd be a bunch of Navy ships sitting around taking pot-shots at each other out of boredom, and no Military ships at all.
If there was a war there would be untold numbers of issues if the LN decided to restrict the war to only themselves. The sheer number of independants that simply would not obey the LN's orders of not attacking etc might actually result in outright civil war in Liberty.
It's like having 100 civilians with top of the range weaponry and 20 Soldiers with the same weaponry. If the soldiers annoy the civilians, they'll get raped.
So really the LN can dig it's own grave if it wants if this war comes but I know I'll be one of the first to ignore the LN's orders in such a case.
Yeah I am sure that the factions and forum goers are going to keep it to fair balanced battles. But, you have to know that the lolz 7331 factor is going to play in here.
Just hope it doesn't degrade to that too much. Otherwise I am really looking forward to this.

Oh , well you are one of those people because start of this war is questionable... Well that means only one in my opinion... closed war , behind curtains , special ops or whatever... so there will be no excuse for BBs, BCs and all others just to camp NB and shoot down fighters as they undocking ,,,,,
Well, its the official factions who would do the rules for this one anyway. And if they say that the frontline is in the borderworlds, then its in the borderworlds! And as only some fighters would have the chance to slip though, any indy cap whore floating around behind the front-lines will be sanctioned anyway. So I dont quite get what the general problem of this thread is.
btw, I am opposed to this war. It would just end in some replay of ww2 anyway what would be quite lame as it makes things way to predictable.
