Some people have better RP and are cooler than the rest of us, that's a simple fact of life, always gonna be someone better at something than you. Giving them a cool unique ship because of that is reasonable in my opinion.


Sure. some of the players will cry because they don't get one, so what? Cryer needs more employees.


I wouldn't be overly focused on making them balanced either, they're SUPPOSED to be special, so let them be a little overpowered, if the player has done enough to be given a special ship, then the player is worthy of a slightly stronger ship than the others.

There's literally no point when the server sits at 80 players on a normal day.

Didn't the developers already cry a half dozen times about there being too many ships?

No one here has the right kind of attitude for special ships anyway. Not anymore.

Anyways, my actual answer: Yes, but they need an activity timer like official factions have. If you don't maintain a certain average activity level, your ship is taken away or bastilled until you can convince the admins to reverse that decision.

Honestly, I think unique ships should be tied to factions, as opposed to individuals. That allows said ships to persist, or have purpose, even if the person who "owns it" isnt at all interested in flying it around.

Im all for unique ships,

but i want to broach an idea i had while reading this thread.

Still have unique ships that are "for one person only", but from now on limit them to Cruiser size (current unique ships exempt from this part). If someone wants a bigger ship, then they have to do a lot of stuff to earn a bigger ship. I agree with Sterlin about unique ships should be a little OP, but not too much. I for one would love more unique ships, as im planning some RP that could in the future (if more ships are added) allow my character Skarsi to have the potential to seek a unique ship for use.

second part of the idea is: Unique large ships (BS size, possibly larger) that are unique and serve, as Dane suggested, as Faction flagships. These ships could be shared amongst members of the faction so that, again as Dane suggested, allows them to persist and not just sit around not doing much.

I would suggest that the ones who have unique ships can sponsor others ( much like wilde ) ~
If you have a persphone, or a necrosis and you know somebody who is good with rp and good in taking care of himself, then why not passing it on? - ofcourse persphone is a different subject and I will never ask jinx for his ship, even though I find it very interesting and yes I wouldn't lie I'd like to have one as well.
The current SRP state doesn't allow anyone to actually get unique ships unless you have started your "story" atleast three months ago - I argue to change SRP to ZOI/Rep/Tech/ ID restrictions only and leave the ships alone.
Or, a better proposal, sell them for 3/4 BIll each ( And given that only zoners/"phooms"/nomads/knf ) can use them, shouldn't be a problem.

I wont agree with this statment. The greater ship's cost, longer player will be powertrading/mission grinding to get it. In the end of all, we will just have bunch of players, who are nearly 0 in RP, but collected enormouse amounts of credits. They purchase such ship, and we have crap again. Because, they dont rly give a damn, about how to RP in correct way with that ship.

Oh, and one more point. Max amount of credits on your char is about 2 Bill. Then, you have to ask admins to empty few your bank accounts, and turn your *insert ship's name* into *insert unique ship's name*. Dont you think, that it will be like SRP, but just for money. Like: Yeah, NP, that you can't find any difference between Xeno RP and...Outcast RP, but you collected around 5 Bill Credits! Hold your Persiphone. And btw, we will take away that ship as soon, as you break rule, or made ooRP crap. Have a nice gaming. No refound.Angel

And yeah, Im with unique ships. And Im ok with it, in case, some of them going to be OP. Still, they will be given to person who WILL KNOW how to play well, and wont abuse other players. That means, no blue/base hunters will have it too.

Also, I like idea, when offical faction, could be approved for making unique ship or two. Pluss, just imgaine, what RP opportunity can faction have, while "building" such ship. Trade, technology exchange, even some events can be based on it. It's eldorado for RP. Why not to give allowe it, if this can actually made additional fun for players, insted of some "mysteriouse" balance, which allways being discussed.

So yeah, IMO, unique ships can give disco another breath of air. Why not to give it, if player or groupe of players deserves it?

Hay Admin,
i got banned from this server..but y.. after long time i tried to connect ths server but its giving me i banned message. shell i know y this. i had played 15 days ago.. all things are fine...then today i tried to play but iam banned...may be u guys mistaken with my account banned.

Yes. After all, it isn't just the owners who can enjoy unique ships.....meeting one is special for everyone else, too.

I remember passing the Necrosis at some point, when I was still very knew. Didn't think much about it.

And of course, I have had lovely encounters with the Tundra.....some of my favorite in all my time here.
