Well first off I would like to give you my name, Marcus Stark.
Now for my history: I was born to a very wealthy family, but it just didn't suit me. So I turned pirate. After a while I learned of a group called "The Corsairs" and decided to check them out. It went very well, I worked for them for quite some time, got a Titan, some cool gadgets, etc.. After a year I decided to try out the new Praetorian bomber. I liked it... for the 2 days I spent in it. I was still getting the hang of it when we went on a raid through Bretonia. It didn't go well, I was shot down by a bounty hunter after about 10 min in the Leeds system. I had just barely managed to escape in my life pod, but he beamed me into his hold and shot down the rest of my wing. After a month in hibernation I was automatically woken-up by the pod's movement sensors. Either I was being moved or the Bounty Hunter was in a tough battle. The pod's nav. sensors showed I was orbiting Manhattan, but I couldn't read anymore because the ship exploded. Thankfully the pod was very advanced and it had a shield, not enough to keep hands out but enough to protect it from a large blast. After an hour the rouges that had engaged him flew away, taking no notice of me. I activated the pod's thrusters and pointed her towards Manhattan. That was about 1 week ago. When I crawled out I found myself in a rather bad section of town, one of the ones where rouges hide because the police don't dare go in there. I, to my shame, recognized it as the area I started in. I went to find one of my "friends" who gave me a ship, a StarFlier I believe. I flew off to a somewhat better portion with a booth like this so that I could place calls. Every Bounty Hunter Guild rejected me because of my history with the Corsairs, even the Rouges wouldn't take me back. You're my last option, I know where some famous wrecks are, can probably get into Omicron Gamma (If I don't get kicked out because I lost a bomber), etc.. What do you say?

My name is Christoph Anke. I have, obviously, written you on the subject of my potential membership in the Search/Destroy agency. Though I do believe it well within your capabilities to find out everything you need to know about my personal history yourselves, I will give you the information and save you the trouble.

Born and raised on New Berlin, I was one of three born to a mother and father both serving the Rhienland Naval Forces. My childhood was exceedingly uneventful and normal compared to some. Went to school, graduated, and became a member of the Rhienland Police Force. While crime was not so huge a problem on the surface of my beloved New Berlin, the skies were another story all together. Then, the Nomads. We all know the role Rhienland played in the war that ensued... I would like to point out that the police had little more to do with the conflict against the other houses and simple patrolling.

Regardless, I found myself on the front lines investigating the Nomads first hand. Many fights.. Many wingmen lost.. Wingmen... Friends. Parents... A great man from days long past on the planet humans call 'mother' once said "Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you" With monsters we fought. All of us, then, and some of us could not handle life afterward.


I was one of the men who could not handle normal life. As an officer of the law I was required to question, apprehend, do no harm... I found my finger fell too heavy on the trigger with just about any criminal, regardless of the crime. Needless to say, I was released from police service... It has been years since then, years spent in therapy, years wasted while crime was able to find itself new footholds in the galaxy we call home. While I will never find myself again with the police, I expect that with your organization I can find myself fighting those who would do harm to the innocent. Who would do harm to the lawful, right man's galaxy. Who would take away that which all of us fought and died and lost for against the Nomads.

I could not live with myself if I did not play my part. Though I also realize I cannot do it without the support of a healthy organization.

First let me introduce myself as Devil "Menthe" Starr. I am currently an independent bounty hunter operating out of the Shikoku system - Deshima Base Station job notice boards for a short time now and recently starting to work my way into Bretonia space, Sheffield station at the moment.

I was raised as a spacer. my family jumping from border station to border station until finally settling on planet Houston in the Texas system. Life on the border stations was rough and I've had it drilled into my head to join the military forces as soon as possible. And that's all well and good...... for them.

Myself i don't feel comfortable joining the local military when I haven't had any reason to feel tied to any one system. I stumbled upon a Bounty Hunter's Guild job posting one day while visiting my local watering hole on Houston, I was hard up for some credits and the job seemed simple enough. Eliminate the target, tractor in the escape pod and bring the mark in for justice. If only it were that simple. The mark wasn't where mission commission originally thought he would be and I was in a fight for my life. All did end well, or I wouldn't be here to apply for this position today. The rush of finding my mark and completing the contract was a seductress for me that day and I haven't looked back. Being an independent contractor is a vicious line of work however especially when having to fight to win a contract from a well known organization such as yourselves. Rather than fight over it, I would rather join up and do some real bounty hunting. I've flown in plenty of missions and I am no stranger to a fire-fight, I've survived some fights by the skin of my teeth and sheer force of will alone. I believe you take something with you out of every contract. and no I don't just mean the credits. Once you can recognize and come to terms with that, there is no other way I would rather live my life.

I am indeed willing to comply by the rules your agency puts before me as i have read them and they are not much different from my own personal code of conduct.

If accepted I would prefer the designation S/D-Menthe, A new call-sign, for my new life as part of something bigger than myself.

"There's background check needed on this guy Menthe. Find out where's he from, what his career has been up to now, why he chose us."
Brian sighed, walked out to his desk and picked up the phone.

"Harv'. You want me to approve an application from a former Rheinland Police Officer who fought in the nomad wars and who appears to have spent a great deal of time struggling with mental health problems?"
Harvey limped over to the window and looked down on New London's beautiful glow. The Director continued.
"The guy must be ancient; the wars were years ago."
Harvey said nothing. The Director put the file down. Harvey turned to face him, unblinking.
"Look. It's never too late for a man to try to start again. You and I of all people should know that."
The Director paused, deep in thought.
Several minutes passed in silence.
"Very well. Approved. Recruit status. Call-sign S/D-Anke. Order a Hammerhead from APM."

In the case of "Menthe" we came up with this information. We hope this is suitable to your needs, if not feel free to contact our offices again to discuss further investigation....

Name or alias given to investigate: Menthe
Results of investigation: Menthe is an Alias used by one "Devil Starr" for reasons unknown. Only surviving member of the Starr family at the age of 31, his parents were killed at the scene of a political demonstration ironically for better weapons control sanctions. Mr. Starr has been scene flying missions for the local police departments of several different houses it would seem but claims to have roots stemming from right here in beautiful Houston, Texas all the way back to Freeport 2 as well as well as a few border world colonies.

It would appear Mr. Starr has handled a few jobs from the local Job posting boards more specifically the Bounty Hunters Guild postings, however his ID card still has him registered as a member of the LSF.
Mr. Starr has not been seen in the Liberty area for some time now other than "just passing through" on his way to other sectors. His close ties to the LSF seem to grant him certain leniencies with customs comming in and out of Liberty space.

His ship logs place him on Deshima station, in the Shikoku sector of Kusari space and upon further investigation it was revealed that he has been spending some time there taking on Bounty Hunter's Guild job postings from the board in the station's bar. It would seem Mr. Starr has a romantic interest a local there by the name of Ryoko Nguyen, a local bounty hunter, killed in the line of duty bringing a Lane Hacker criminal to justice. Mr. Starr has not declared revenge on the Lane Hackers, however he can most likely be found flying through the Magellan system hunting them in his spare time. One of our agents caught up with Mr. Starr on Deshima Station posing as a local and got to ask him a few questions at the bar there. here is an excerpt from the transcript.....

Agent: So you're planning on leaving Deshima station?
Starr: That's right, this place has nothing for me anymore.
Agent: Well where ya headed then? I hear Los Angeles is nice...
Starr: Well just between you and me.... I put my name in with this Bounty Hunter's agency i found.
They're based out of Bretonia so I'm guessing I'll be headed out that way if all goes well.
Agent: That's a long trip!
Starr: Yeah, but the Liberty forces all like me, I used to work for them. I should make it alright.
Agent: Well why don't you go back to them then? seems like a sure thing....
Starr: I would but i just can't seem to be able to convince myself as to why i should, I mean, when it comes to bringing somebody to justice, nobody can do it like a bounty hunter can. When Ryoko failed her mission I picked it up where she left off and brought that Nomad-mating, slime-sucker in for justice. Sure there are rules, but I would have been hampered by miles of red tape if I was part of the local police force. Instead i got to make sure he got what he deserved. There's nothing left for me here now....
