Well, to be fair it was so bad, that we banned all freelancers/mercs from NY.
Any of you who weren't around for that can only guess how that turned out.

Outcasts and Corsairs I think are one of the few that AREN'T rephacked on the Pirate ID. Because I still remember actually getting both Cast and Sair rep full green for both before. Well, almost anyway. It was probably like 0.8 for both.
I honestly think a few people blew the indie pirate "problem" way out of proportion, and - if you look at activity - it doesn't really look like the neutered pirate ID has done anything for any of the unlawful factions. I wish they'd change it back so there's more variety, it's silly to let 5 people's salty tears wreck it for the rest of us. There was a huge anti-indian thing going on, but tbh I never had anything but positive encounters with the indians, so it seemed like borderline hysteria when alte and friends exploded, and people just jumped on the anti-pirate bandwagon, just like they jumped on the anti-rnc one without having no knowledge or actual experience with it.
Mimir, have you been in New York for the past three months?

EDIT: Only noticable difference in NY is that all the pirates and rogues are gone, and so have the lawful snubs more or less. LNS caps are still there though.

Which never should have been allowed. Do we settle in life for a system thats arranged because its easy? Or do we follow practicality? It might be easier for them to rephack the pirate ID, but its not practical to fr5 all pirate ID players. Since Rogues and Hackers are just pirates, slavers and smugglers, there should be little inherent conflict, unless a pirate chooses to attack them. Like with every other faction, that's when an FR5 should come in. Sorry if its so much work, but thats the only way to not be OP about black listing players they more than likely have common interests with than not. Another case of punishing the majority over a minority from years ago at that. ID wide FR5 in this case kills so much RP potential. Why not FR5 all freelancers too, ya never know who they're working for/with.
think about it this way, is more a matter of competence, for example, imagine that a new corporation which deals with lane parts pops up making ageira loose benefits, ageira will not take it well... this is the case on pirates too...

So because of the few indie newbies that dont know where is left and right, the whole ID has to be f***d up? FR5 the ones that do this is the simplest thing that could be done.
