This. In fact, people who believe it'll increase population in non-Connecticut systems may find that the exact opposite might just happen. I often (used to) begin a Freelancer session by logging in a ship docked in Connecticut, having a quick fight (or not) and then noticing that something interesting was going on in some random system. Then, I'd log into an appropriate ship and head there. If not for Connecticut, I probably would've just... queued for a Dota match.

Even if I have no love for Conn, I don't think it's the problem here. The massive number of unneeded systems which disperse player interaction is what needs to be solved.

Remove the Minefield in conn.Thats it.Nothing more to it.Conn is good.Keeps the dull RP,PvP whores where they are supposed to be...

We should do the trial, not for very long, say a few days.

Just to see what happens and to find out what the players who always go to Conn do....

Will people/faction keeps their heads and organize 'training' in for instance a faction 'home system' or will we get people running rampant pewpewing everyone because Conn has been taken away....

I'm thinking the former myself.

What even is this thread, so now noobs will have to train inrp deliver equipment buy cloaks inrp, there has to be a line conn is fun, and a good place for people to train, removing conn altogether would essentially take away skills altogether, idk about you but my skills and the skills of millions came from conn training.

The end result of removing Conn? Probably 5-10 less people on the server. You may get a handful of those who use it as a lobby to wait for a fight to break out to go out into the server.

In terms of good vs bad for server health? Unnoticable would be my bet.
