My guess is that it there would be no problem even without "please", just if the post would be in form of for example "I had money on ship which was deleted, can I have that money back?"

I think it's a nice lesson that stamping your feet and making big shouty demands doesn't always work.

Seeing as I am the one who seems to have caused this outcry, I will respond.

It wasn't about the lack of please, per se, it was about his whole attitude.

Part of his first Post: gib it back!

For a start these were Demands (something I would expect from a petulant child)

The part that I wrote was just my way of saying about treating people with RESPECT.

If he had posted something along the lines of:

I have lost 100 million credits upon deletion of my ship, can I have it back?

Then that would have at least been received with a better light.

We generally help people out, sometimes we get thanks and sometimes not.

But I do draw the line at people who think we owe them all our time and to be at their beck and call or believe they can talk to us in any manner they feel.

I can't believe that the reason not to help this guy is just that he didn't say "Please"
I think this is not the only reason, or it would look bad, because there is an attempt to humiliate the player here then.
but i don't think that is the case, although, saying in public that we won't help you because you didn't say "please" sound so messed up.
but anyway, its your matter guys, and i am just giving my opinion - Also i agree 10000000% that if the player manage to use the bug then he is guilty! simply because he didn't
announce it to admins or developers or the public community so it can be fixed asap.

I think that player does not even deserve to be replied to by admins, i thought that he is a respectable player who want help but
it seems he is just another person wasting admins/developers time, so please consider my above words not even said.
