Lack of kudo's doesn't automatically mean you can assume everyone was upset about it. I've had plenty of awesome encounters that I don't post in the Kudo's thread (Maybe I should more?). It doesn't matter the amount, it just matters that people on both sides enjoyed something out of it. You post, the way it was phrased, insinuated that the IMG official faction will just dock whenever they see an enemy. I would hate to see that, as would plenty others (Not just the opposing force).

To your point that my intervention doesn't add much... well, it's a public thread and i'm speaking as an outsider yes. I'm speaking as someone who wasn't involved so I don't have the "YES I KILLED THEM" or "DAMN I LOST! THIS IS BS". I'm just an observer seeing both sides, and felt compelled to comment on a PUBLIC thread, as is my right to do so.

Take it for what you will, and what you want. I'm participating in a public discussion that really can be applied to more than just this one encounter.

I do find it interesting that you did not respond to my point that you yourself have organized ganks and have even used the words "let's gank them" before. Not saying that's a bad thing, just seems a bit hypocritical when you damn others for doing such when you have done the same yourself.

All I want out of this is for people to have fun, fly, and enjoy the game. I get you didn't enjoy. All I ask is you don't make a decision on behalf of others to not participate. If the entirety of the IMG agrees with you, well... a shame, but that's that. But I doubt every single person in IMG shares the same viewpoint. Just don't make a rash decision that prohibits what limited encounters Disco has with it's dwindling numbers.

Well, I was there in the [ALG]Alpha-0.
It was quiet an unbalanced fight, but for me it was quiet funny.
I had my fun, I don't need to win or get a blue (Yes I got a blue)

As you seem to insist: Everybody has ganked before. And everybody has called "let's gank!" at some point. I would be surprised if you had not said that yourself before. I doubt I have ever brought a BS, 1 Razor insta Cruiser and multiple GBs to counter a snub force. Call me hypocritical if you think you must, but there are things I do not do. Wink

With that said, I hope you see there is a difference in a quality of a gank. For example, if one side only has snubs that are slowly being killed off by superior forces, and the other side has roughly the same number of snubs and some gunboats, and then brings in an insta cruiser, so the gunboats can hug it (=> full immunity to the GB + free bots from insta kills), and then more gunboats, so the snubs can hug them (=> immunity for snubs), plus a battleship to block the quickdock point and disable station fire...

See the huge difference in quality between no-fun situations?
Experienced group pvpers will.

I will not, and cannot forbid anybody to go to a fight.

But why would I encourage people to do something that will leave them frustrated with a very high probability?

Faction leaders have a responsibility for their players. Avoiding frustration for them by me having more experience at predicting likely outcomes is part of what I consider my responsibility.

I would suggest giving things a few hours or even a day to let everyone cool down. This really shouldn't even be an issue

as you can see here folks, this is an example of Capitalus Bullshitius with Razorius Maximas going into Mixed Fights.

There is a reason why mixed fights are probably the most stupidest thing ever(If it isn't pre-planned):

People will bring cap razors
People will hug those caps
People's snubs will start dying due to too many gunboats that they keep sending
One side will constantly overpower you because they keep bringing people to their side
(And if those are random indies, at least someone tell them to back off)

Seriously, all you need to do is control your side, you see them coming in when it's a balanced fight then tell them to back off because you have enough people. It's not that hard unless you really want the other-side to get ganked and cry.

Jack, I'm not agree with you. Because as I heard from our GBs they can't do much when there are 8-10 snubs like you said. Also this time one of our top-5 GB pilots joined your side to balance. Nobody tells you that you can't use GBs, buy and enjoy, we never asked to bring only snubs. And we never had 4 Ascos (one time we had but before the fight started one of them just docked and deleted his char. +the last time one of them changed side, so this time we had only 2 of them).
As people said about you yesterday, you refill 2-3 times (2 times I personally saw), so you want to talk about "refill"?

All I can say about all our fights - I enjoyed, even when we loose it was fun.

Drrobe - all I can say about your words - kudos Wink

This made me laugh. And I sign your statement 100 %.
Delete all insta weapons / loadouts.
The insta-playing type is bad. Simple as that.
It encourages all these moves that make breaking the game of many others ridiculously easy, even for a single player.

@Dark_Predator:

"Also this time one of our top-5 GB pilots joined your side to balance."
=> He relogged to our side, then "vanished". I never saw Miki in the main fight at least, saw one target called by him in the start, and then could not find him any more. No idea what happened, but it is a nice gesture of fairness to actually offer to switch sides - something that I explicitly like and also mentioned about Tuta's Asco piracy group.

"Nobody tells you that you can't use GBs"
=> Fight Ascos in other gunboats, especially when you fight aces in Ascos with heavy, easy to hit IMG Gbs = Forget it. You can commit sudoku in a less painful way. Also - sorry - fights with one GB in them are 80 % bad for all involved snubs (the stupid "hug-me" game is so annoying). Fights with more than 1 GB in them are 95 % bad. So yes, theoretically I could say "everybody make a prim GB and we stack them sky-high", but this would only lead to even worse fights - and I am not here to have shitty fights. I'd rather have none.

"As people said about you yesterday, you refill 2-3 times (2 times I personally saw), so you want to talk about "refill"?"
=> fact: I refilled once in Gallia. Then was not shot at any more before I logged off. But interesting observations you mention here.

Anyway, I am done here.
I have said everything I wanted to say.
I doubt there is any more need to discuss the situation or details that led to my decisions taken.

Have fun playing.
I'll have fun playing the part that I enjoy.

It's not exactly fun spending an hour dodging/strafing/shieldrunning/whathaveyou just because you can't quickly kill the enemy and they can't quickly kill you, either.

Im just going to say that for that one brawl I was in with my waran the first time, it was fun to fight them. I was on the TS though and I could hear people saying they were going to lose before we even started.

My aim was off that day (and im sick) so I missed most of my snac shots but I think I could have done better and hit. The asco seems to be easier to hit than the rogue gunboat.

I knew seconds before I insta died that I made a mistake in positioning with that cruiser. I hit my bats too late and died. Gave a kudos to a good shot though. I dont think I could have done that myself.

Anyway, the whole TS was really competitive sounding and they were even saying then that they would never log again. As if you can win every fight.

Tbh this is what started to make me bored from pvp. Why do you need to win in order to say it was worth it? Someone has to loose. If both sides gain or loose nothing then it shouldn't matter who wins. Especially with IMG they can change to the omegas if they wish.

So yeah. This whole pvp competitiveness bullcrap is getting annoying as hell. Just play the firetruckin' game. You wont win all fights.

Ah yes and jack will respond that I dont understand what it means to be ganked like he got.
Honestly, I couldn't care less since you and I lost nothing of value from the encounter.

My viewpoint.
