Be very careful with some installers. I've had encounters with some that sneakily skip steps that install random programs, where you only know what the installer has tried to do if you click 'back'.

if you have nothing important on your PC then you cant beat doing a low level format of your drive(s) followed by shuting down your PC. then reinstalling your OS and software. that said nothing is 100% as they can even infect your firmwares if you let them. try using a live Linux distro for your 'dodgy' browsing/downloading. you dont even need a hdd then and everything you dont transfer to external storage will disappear when you shutdown.

i have Mailwarebytes too but i use Avast next to it,since my old m8 recommended i Never use it as a main force against virus's.
but if you have no important files a hardrive wipe may be a viable option.

and this is comming from the guy who found out in 2012 he had over 3100 virus's and 200+trojans on my old computer... RIP crappy 5 year old hardrive :'(

I love Revo Uninstaller, I use to to uninstall anything and everything, along with Ccleaner, they make a decent combination to clean up computers that are problematic...
You might want a little background on what you're uninstalling, but mostly it's pretty simple really.

Run these programs in this order:
Rkill
Malwarebytes
Super Anti Spyware
Hitman
AdwCleaner
Combofix
Hijackthis
Then go into your web browser and remove any add-ons or extensions that may have been installed
Go through your installed programs list and remove any other programs that ended up getting recently installed around the time this issue started to occur
Then scan with a legit antivirus program

Or just back up your crap and have someone reinstall your PC.

It's a lot easier to manage browser extensions/addons if you only use one browser.
If you have to download a downloader to download a file find another source, also if a download page has multiple download links on the page and you aren't sure which one is the actual download button find another source.
Download Unchecky, it'll save you some trouble(not all) when installing programs by unchecking spamware check boxes.
Buy an external harddrive, prob just a 500gb one, and backup all important data on it every few weeks, don't leave it plugged in all the time, don't plug it into your computer when you think you've already got a virus.
Run full anti virus scans once a week with multiple anti viruses, we've mentioned a lot of good ones in this thread.
An adblocker and scriptblocker will stop a hell of a lot of things from getting onto your computer in the first place, sub to lots of ad lists and learn what scripts are usually safe to unblock.
Try to stick to reputable pron sites, there are plenty of them.

Don't use Comodo AV--It will install a VNC server on your computer and can be used to remotely run programs/commands outside of the sandboxing the program is suppose to use for safety.
