Kusari players and the storyline devs (understandably) don't want us interfering in Kusari during its new civil war arc. Bretonian players don't want to have their entire House go into exile, and the less said about the privileged position Liberty enjoys as the main 'protagonist house', the better.
A whole lot of the stuff suggested would be something I'd personally enjoy seeing, but I'm also well aware that certain others who would be affected greatly by their implementations have an entirely different position on things I'd like to see happen. Having Kusari become an actual vassal/satellite state of Gallia and taking control of its foreign policy is something that I think should have happened from a story perspective, but I can see why it hasn't happened from a gameplay one. That said, in my headcanon Kepler and Galileo should have already become warzones.
With regards the whole issue of Rheinland, I brought a very similar proposal of assistance/cooperation/informal alliance up to one of the previous [RM] leaders, and was promptly told by him that the story devs had intervened with him in private and told him that it wasn't going to happen. Go figure.
And this is why we can't have nice things.
Meh. There's so much awesome potential that is lost because of this, to be honest. It's saddening that any real conflict, any real loss of any house beyond what Rheinland and Bretonia once had, is gone and Gallia will inevitably fail because of, what comes down to story devs dooming Gallia to never get past Bretonia. Which honestly, Gallia should have steamrolled everything by now.
Oh well.
Story devs have say, we can only dance in their strings. As a friend recently told me.
Disco went from "We can do that." To "no, that's against lore." Go figure.
Disco never was player driven (and I often consider it good, mainly during reading some proposals here and there), nothing changed in that. And current dev team is at least communicationg and even cooperating with playerbase, that´s something what was rare or didn´t happen at all in past.
Such major change as wiping whole houses from map can have serious consequencies including killing vanilla factions. It would remove on of the qualities Disco even advertise - that this mod is quite close to the vanilla game.
Also, don´t forget that Gallia is so almighty just because some storyline dev once wrote few numbers. It does not mean Gallia should be entitled to inevitably rule (half of) the Sirius one day. Major changes has to be done in a way to improve things and make them interesting so the players will feel motivated to play. Not just because they look cool at first glance.
Then why bother motivating to log Gallia when it's destined to fail, destined to never have the chance to outmaneuver Godhouse Liberty. Why bother logging Liberty if you're going to win InRP anyways? What's the point? You win already. That's the sad part of the Liberty-Rheinland War. Rheinland won a majority of engagements, and should have taken Planet Houston Orbit and drive Mississippi to the New York Gate. Instead Rheinland lost.
Liberty never loses. Personally, it's about time the Godhouse is taken down. No house is untouchable. But sadly, every time Gallia had a chance, it's shot down by Story Devs.
One reason GRN never was fun to lead. InRP I had the largest fleet in history, inRP I commanded thousands of capitals. But every time I was devastated by Bretonian/CR/etc. Being the Big Bad, with already bad stigma attached...it's no fun. Omi's done great things with the faction, but it's disheartening to hear that Story Devs shoot down some creative ways at taking over.
It might not be player driven...but every house has lost a war. Liberty needs to lose by now, to be blunt.
Also, Blodwyn. I'm happy Seychelles is still in effect. it was the first major thing I honestly did with GRN, and it's a nice thing to see it still going. The mining nerf though...that's dumb :|

That's so stupid. Rheinland could've double teamed with Gallia against Liberty and kept the war going (which would still create activity and roleplay). And maybe via the vassal state thing Kusari would get involved too.
Finally, we could have started to see Liberty's plot armour start to corrode. I guess not.
Gonna double post for this one.
I wanted to see the same. I highly dislike Liberty's Plot Armor, but I don't think Liberty will ever be willing to lose.

IDK Tal. Probably because Gallia is going to lose despite having swept aside two entire House fleets without trouble, yet get bogged down by a Liberty Battlegroup in Leeds. Meh.

Plot armour, most likely.
Exactly. Liberty, Bretonia, both have the mystical Plot Armor. Well, Bretonia has lack of ways to get the majority of GRN's fleet into New London, but anyways.
Plot armor is the major problem of the mod, sadly. But it's a moot point.

Every coin has two sides. Now there is nothing in stake during battles except the win in that one battle. Yet, some people behave like total [add swear word] and are willing to totally ruin fun of the other side.
Now imagine how would people behave if they would know there is something in stake. It would pull out the worst of the community. How often would people be willing to make fair fights? How often they would be willing to do -anything- to win? How often people will yell at each other because they lost battle due to some mistake?
By the way, we all know that Rheinland won majority of battles simply because Liberty is starting house, so majority of their players are not skilled enough, while Rheinland had group of dedicated skilled and coordinated players. It now happens again during GRN-LN fights, Liberty is simply paying toll for being starting house, simple as that. And I don´t think that Disco lore should be driven just by the factor of which side/faction has more and better pvpers.

The GRN ID is going to have that included soon™, in the next update, as well as the BAF ID.
This shouldn't require an update to be implemented. The admins are able to update ID descriptions on the fly. Both factions probably need to put in a player request or something to get the changes.
