Let me provide an example:

"OHAI! Area-51 r heer, ya, and in teh pentagonz, i r l33t hax dem and dey be all liek, reeserch teh RALE GUNZ!"

Secrets.

Not to mention ruining the fun of ever finding something yourself. It's like playing through Morrowind when you glitched all yours stats to full on the first play-through. But who knows? Maybe it'll be like Morrowind and make you not want to play anymore. O.o

Ive recently created a code-hunting character, and i'm having fun flying around systems looking for the wrecks that i've heard about on the grapevine. Sometimes I get lucky, and there's one on there, othertimes, i've been beaten to it.

But its a worthwhile cause - i get to map the whole of disco, and get some guns out of it too!

The wreck locations are the same... But the contents, and code locations have been edited.

When you ask a friend to give you directions to get somewhere in the game, that is cheating?

Wow, next time someone asks me for help to find someplace or something even as simple as where to buy a Transport ship I'll be sure to tell them that I can neither tell nor show them the way because you say that's cheating.

oh, in case you didn't get it, that was a total flame. I really do have a low tolerance for those who lack logic and reasoning. If you actually do have an explanation for your charge then you have an obligation to share it. If it's just "I didn't have that when I was looking so it's not fair others have it" then you're wasting all our time by polluting these forums.

Ahem. The inherent idiocy here nearly made me cough up a lung as I burst into a fit of laughter.

Let's examine.

Quote:HOW is this cheating?? Is it cheating to list locations of bases too? How about jump gates or jump holes? How about planets? Where to buy particular ships?

Planets are not secret. They're big round things. Pretty bloody hard to miss.
Ships aren't really secret either, except maybe battleships and things like the marsflyer. I'm sure the Liberty Navy doesn't want every Joe and John turning up on their doorstep asking to purchase a Liberty Assault Battlecruiser, not that they would if this were a real world. Jump holes? Yeah. Secret. They're hidden backdoors between systems. inRP, the lawfuls don't even know about most of them. Jump Gates? Yeah, Alaska's secret. NOBODY outside of the LSF/LN/Order is even supposed to know it's there. I may have missed a few, so sue me.

Quote:When you ask a friend to give you directions to get somewhere in the game, that is cheating?

Depends on what you're asking for. Although that is completely different from pasting it on the forums for every player to read.

Quote:Wow, next time someone asks me for help to find someplace or something even as simple as where to buy a Transport ship I'll be sure to tell them that I can neither tell nor show them the way because you say that's cheating.

My god. We're getting a lot of people around here jumping the gun, aren't we? That's taking it to an extreme. The difference between a Transport Ship and a codename weapon is that CODENAMES ARE SECRET. That's why every weapon has on its infocard "There is no further information available about this weapon." or some such.

Yes, I realised it was a flame. I didn't crawl out of the sink. I lack logic and reasoning? I'm not the one blatantly flaming, throwing wild accusations and getting worked up over a single line. My explanation? Read above. It really didn't need explaining, just an average IQ score. When I want codies, I buy them. Trading doesn't take that long and I find it a waste of time F1'ing a character next to a drop just so that you're the first to get it after waiting eight hours for the server restart. Apart from that, I don't use codenames so you can in no way call me biased.

Quote: then you're wasting all our time by polluting these forums.
Crawl back into Flood. Hypocracy is widely accepted there.

You have managed to troll me. Congratulations.

---

Appologies to any innocents who had to witness the flame. I dislike wild, incredibly biased and stupid accusations containing no rational thought whatsoever. Again, they're secret. Read the above if you need more of a reason.

The list is wrong, eh? Maybe my post was just a waste of forum space then.

For the Core.

hmmm, i'm not really sure what to say here.

The problem with trading is that you can get bored, but it is probably the fastest thing to make money in the whole of Sirius, and it's got to be done at some point (except for Seth Karlo, he's got 5 code sellers, he never needs to trade:P).

Rogue Charlie, jump holes are not that hard to find. I find jump holes quite easily when exploring systems actually, and i remember where most jump holes are in Sirius anyway.

i will continue with this post later.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

The likelihood of you getting a list of Code Wrecks is equal to the likelihood of me going out to play in the snow. None. The folks who know won't say and it will not be posted publicly on these forums. Not now not ever. Master Chubb has been waiting on a call, bout time to make it.
