That's for transports, though. Farmers can attack anything non-transport that's not Samura as it stands atm.

I'd very very much like to see an -actually conservative- faction appear in Kusari, though. Every faction that represented the "conservative" side of Kusari were always stupidly liberal and never reflected any of the social issues Kusari is intended to have. Even the Hogosha, supposed yakuza, have stereotypical otaku nerds flying around as henchmen and generally avoid doing anything remotely unlawful...

Can only hope you'd bring a conservative faction out, with or without the ID change. ^^

I don't know if you were around when the AFA was active, but we always played it as very traditionalist/conservative.

As to the other part. It always feels wrong to just let a threat to Kusari walk off because they gave up their cargo. We know they are just going to come back.... Especially when it comes to people who make us chase them and then drop at the last moment. No way in RP the AFA would let a trader live, especially one who is disrespectful.

Quote:FA ID

Pilot carrying this unlawful ID is a member of the Farmers Alliance, who:

Can attack any ships not belonging to Samura/Hogosha/IKN within their Zone of Influence. Can treat transports as combat targets.
Can demand cargo from any ship except Samura/Hogosha/IKN within their Zone of Influence.
Cannot ally with any lawfuls. (Except Samura in the case of a real civil war breaking out) (Except IKN I dont know if they are considered lawful)
Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo.
Cannot demand credits.

Zone of Influence: Kusari, Taus, Sigmas

Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports

Thanks Wolf

I see no reason why it wouldn't work. When the Xenos got their current ID the world didn't end. Maybe add a little more restricted ZOI? The one you have there is quite large.

Something more like

ZOI
Kusari
Tau 29, 23 and 31
Sigma 17, 19, and 13

The thing about Xenos is they belong to a place with high player count. There is plenty of lawfuls / unlawfuls regularly flying in Liberty and that counterbalances the fact they can engage anything at will in my eyes : they have so many enemies their nuisance power is limited.

Kusari on the other hand has very few dedicated players.

The idea is interesting but I'm afraid of how it could be abused, when there is not a lot of players to offset such a predatory potential. Besides, if you have so much leniency with a Farmer Alliance ID, what's the point of Golden Chrysanthemum and Blood Dragons IDs anymore? Those Ids are already kinda prevented from targeting GMG due to diplomacy, and that's the main traffic flow (H3 to Liberty or Bretonia) in Kusari.

Secondly, you have to take into account the OORP part of any interaction, which is fair-play; trying to make an interaction enjoyable for both parties. If you kill anyone on sight in Kusari because "FA are not nice people and wouldn't let foreigners live", how would that be perceived by the other party? Will it give people more incentive to fly in Kusari or less incentive to?

I'd rather see that ID rework applied to a Farmer Alliance official faction instead of the whole NPC ID for those reasons. In my opinion the indie Farmer Alliance ID already allows to tax foreigners, which is an acceptable middle ground between lore requirement and fair-play.

Farmers don't need a new ID to have things to do in Kusari. There is plenty of commercial traffic; KNF is regularly flying and role-playing with NPCs.
The only thing we can regret is the lack of unlawfuls (Blood Dragons / Golden Chrysanthenum) and lawfuls (Kusari State Police).

If that will bring more activity to Kusari, then why not? Yet you're seemingly experienced enough to manage all the possible issues in case they occur.

OK yes I remember these terrorist lite rules. No harm came from them. If kept as an open ID for faction and Indies then I'm convinced. This way if a faction crumbles the FA RP can still exist and remain available. Lol at the search feature not working BTW. Glad Im familiar with digging. I like your ID rules. ZOI will no doubt need more specifics concerning Taus and Sigmas. If I still ran GMG I'd be happy to support ZOI of FA being allowed in systems containing GMG and/or Samurai installations. I remember all too well the days when Sigmas had no unlawful presence. Nearly killed the faction and only through shocking publicity stunts like the Kurile incident did we manage to reignite the fire. I have no doubt you can run with it so I wish you luck in getting it. It's too bad my plate is full in RL, I'm tempted to recommit to GMG RP. I miss this stuff.

I want to bump this because it was posted when the search wasn't working and I want to make sure others who might have an opinion get a chance to see it.

Just goes to show how little love this particular faction gets. I was running under the misguided assumption that they had a terrorist ID, akin to the Gaians and Xenos. Yeah, no reason for them not to.

Since when do we give terrorist IDs to NPC factions?

Jack

P.S: Put the current ID in here, so people can compare.
