After about half an hour, Banger made his way to the bridge, where the other two have migrated.

He maintained that same deadly serious look that overtook him earlier.

"Joaquin, when we arrive at the Skyhook, Nivek and I will be joining you."

He ignored the confused glances and simply stated the situation: "Lads, I don't pretend to understand how the universe works, all I know is that everything is connected...I can't go into detail right now, but until further notice from Warden Hitcher directly, my orders are to report to Torshavn and assume control of the Guard immediately."

Matt continued to ignore their confused glances as those glances became exponentially more confused with each passing second.

"Che, You will drop Nivek and myself off in Cambridge, and then proceed directly to Skye from there without delay."

"Yes Sir." Che replied, but it sounded more like a question than an acknowledgement.

"Go pack three bug-out bags for us and take Nivek with you and teach him how to do it."

After the pair left the bridge, Matthew leaned against one of the bulkheads, his head down and his shoulders sunken, as if pinned by an unseen weight.

"Shamus," he said quietly, still facing the wall, "after we leave, I would like you to fly to Pueblo Bonito and make contact with the TAZ. You have a home with them."

Because of his broken source code, Shamus doesn't yet remember how to feel fear, pain, abandonment or anger, but in the areas where that code should be, Shamus sees emptiness and connects that to the parts of his repaired source code that process emotion.

In his own way, He now feels empty and he doesn't like it...not at all.
