I'm glad it finally happened. As much as the newest faction of the new version of RoS (there was an old Fallen Angels faction that got disbanded) might be attempting to revive it, the energy and motivation is much better spent elsewhere. Reapers (out)lived their purpose a while ago. The faction was kept on life support by devs for quite some time, and the contribution of RoS to the server was next to nonexistant. I hope the bases in Poole and Koeln that were added out of the blue are getting removed/repurposed. Also, I kinda predicted it.

Why did you keep the RoS ID locked, though? No wonder there's no sustaining RoS faction if they have to fly Freelancer ID.
Anyways, good thing you don't go for the retcon and make it in-lore instead.

Prior to the current attempt at rezzing the faction, everyone was always saying that the lore and faction belonged to certain players and therefore had to have their endorsement to engage with in spite of the fact that the majority of them no longer attended the server.

Is it really any surprise that nothing impressive has happened?

I guess we all knew this was eventually gonna happen. There were some unforgettable moments back in RoS' prime days, like taking out a cau 8 Sarissa with 4 inferno Sabres in front of Malta, but it's time to let go. I tried helping Dimon revive it but eventually realized that it was never gonna be good old RoS and lost motivation. Better to go out with some dignity left than have people parade with the faction's corpse like a certain someone was doing with a certain faction until recently.
