I mean really, there are not 1,031,234 super secret very limited manufacture weapons out there, aren't there?

We could knock a bit off the damage, increase the speed and call them Class 10 faction weapons.

Also, this leads me to think of the chain guns, Purple Goddess in particular, BUFF THEM.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Yeah I know, they ARE class 10 after all. Shame almost all class 9s are better than them.
There's something being done with them, don't know how strong they'll be exactly.

Any case, the refire will be "normal" now.

I understand, some people are good natured individuals, but the weapon dealers have been attacked for various RP reasons, hence the mooring ring campers that were in NY. If we got rid of the lure for the guns we could get rid of the gun hunters. I would LOVE to see a base in conneticut that sells them all! Thus fixing all these problems.

Then what will be the point in Arms Dealers? We're not just selling guns, we're bringing them to the center of all of Discovery for you. I make trips in [Malarlo]-Transport-00x all the time to buy armor, nuke mines, SNAC's, guns, etc etc. We're doing you a service by selling them here. This is our way of making money, some people take missions, some people trade, some people pirate. We sell guns at as high a price as we can sell them.

Note, that we can only sell them as high as people will by them. If you offered me a good price for a gun, that I had attempted to sell at a high price, you'll probably have me say yes. I'm a generous guy. I personally GAVE 60 dollar's (Of real money) to a person of this community.

What do you think will happen to the server if everyone started using Purple Goddess chainguns?

The amusing bit about chainguns is how effective they are on bombers.

Once a cap is into hull, let him have it. The cap pilot will hate you.

What I always say about chain guns, is about their range and projectile speed.

Refire of all chains is made like other weps in 4.85. Fact.

Bummer. I liked the horror of 16.67 refire rattling into the hull of a cap so you could line up your SN a bit more leisurely.

IMO only very high ups in the bigger factions should be able to use codenames, reflecting their extremely small availability.
Nomads should be the only one using nomad guns.
And about codes that's the class 10 available guns, goddess for me is like a class 8 at best .
ao they should be used. For instead what will you put on a bomber? a bomber is the best weapon against a cap ship would you put a goddess on that one? no you want something that inflict damage.
on all of my fighters i use faction weps and nothing but.

Yes, those Krakens really are a pain to use..
(I don't care they're strong, I'm not a "nerf 'em" freak)

If they're in 55 and 58 code-camping, take screenshots of them in there and logging off there, then PM me them. Once we've gotten the money to buy the systems, that'll be a big no-no, but until then we can just keep record of them and send hordes of unscrupulous mercenaries to kill them without remorse.

DO NOT CAMP IN THOSE SYSTEMS.

I don't mind people passing through (well, out-of-character anyway) and if they want to make a run through the gauntlet their welcome to try. We have defenses set up for such an event. Speaking of those defenses, if you log in, tractor, log out, we might log in while you are still hooked and...

Bad idea. If you don't believe me, check the sanction threads.

Quote:Sure I should shoot them, then get reported for some unjustified out of RP kill, that's If I could catch them. I have seen names like example: wreck hunter 1, then in a few minutes wreck hunter 2 and so on. Pure lack of RP.

And ***we*** can put bounties up for the amoral (in character, of course) among you.

Mm, base that sells them all for 2x current accepted market price or something isn't an idea to be shot out the window. It would need to calibrated to both stop "code-campers" and not screw legitimate dealers like our friend Seth here.

Quote:and I, can be blamed for having codes, I am partial to the 4.0 refire for my bombers, they fit the colladas perfectly, but I on;y keep one on each. *hangs head in shame* but I would be just as set with a salamanca If those guns were simply abaolished.

4.85 will make this less of an issue. Right now a lot of people use codes because their guns are terrible- they won't be for long.

Quote:Coneeticut, sell all codenamed weapons, leave the wrecks for those new peeps who can't afford em, give the weapon dealers some different weapons to deal and some travel to do! I would much rather pay a dealer to bring out the guns to the edge worlds than to farm em. Plus--imagine the RP fun of fending off the priates who want to rob ya!

This works moderately with SNACs, but if codenames are to be sold, it shouldn't be cheap. And it would need a lot of balancing and whatnot. Methinks that's not a 4.85 project, 4.86 or 7 at the earliest.

Oh, and for the rattling, Flashpoints aren't really that bad. No, seriously! They mess me up even in fighters.

Camping for codeweps is, imo, oorp. People can rationalize camping at wrecks all they want. It's their dime, as the saying goes. But whether you slice or dice it, it's still baloney. The wrecks are few and far in between and the players are many. And instead of a pair of codies (as in the Vanilla version), they give up one gun. A formula for needless frustration and bad blood all around.

Solution: Make them purchasable throughout Sirius. A few House bases could sell them and the Zoners could offer their codies to everyone - including the unlawfuls.

Someone may say: Well then everyone will use them! They'll be spammed! We can't have that! Newsflash - Most of the pirates (guess the faction yourself) use them quite liberally.

As far as using Nomad cannons and blasters go, I don't see a problem with the Order or even BH using them - sparingly. The Order and BH factions both covet Nomad technology. Mercenaries and Zoners could probably use them as well. Outcasts won't use them (per ingame lore), but the Corsair policy for Nomad weps is unclear to me.

The Nomad guns' info cards read that the blaster/cannon are the result of humans adapting Nomad technology to create a hybrid weapon. Technically, they are no longer completely Nomad.
