It looks like the republican/liberty side is going to be quite outnumbered.

I will participate as an Uruz Transport, if I can borrow one, or be sold one at a reduced rate.

Otherwise, I'll bring a police gunboat.


As for balance:

The Unioner Gunboat is much more powerful than the Liberty Gunboat. That, combined with the enemy having two gunboats, will be quite an advantage.

You say you gave the convoy an "extra bomber", however it isn't an extra slot, but rather more fighter slots having the option of being a bomber slot. With the current fighter/bomber slots already occupied by fighters, this "compensation" has already been forfeited. In the end, each side gets 8 snubs, so that is even.

The Rogue gunboat and Liberty gunboat are pretty much even, leaving the only excess on either side:

2x Uruz on one side; a fast, powerful heavy gunboat on the other side.

I think a Republican gunboat could be necessary to even things out; after all, the convoy has the burden of needing to protect the transports, while the attackers have no particular ships that they can't lose. The defenders have to fight off the entire attacking army without losing their 2 transports. The attackers just have to wipe the defenders out while being able to lose all of their ships, as long as they have one left.
