The way FLserver is designed, the only way to make it run faster is by using a Faster CPU - more number of cores will not matter as it's incapable of using it...

How about putting a better Core 2 Duo - probably an Extreme series and using Phase cooling....
That's the only way to push the CPU core higher...

If the FL software can't support dual cores, why not get a single core P4 HT or something, a better cooling system, and OC it to 4Ghz+? Of course, would have to keep it low enough that it stays stable..

Also, find a way to kill the 150-200ms+ USA ping times.:yes::yes:

Back on topic though, if I had the money, I'd probably donate.

Here's a good question: Ignoring the unlikelyhood of a new server, what would our donations be used for, other than the obvious server bandwidth, maintenance, etc?

Saving it for spare parts possibly?

From memory, she's at 4Ghz now...majkp might try to increase it to 4.5 sometime soon.

Like the Admins/Moderators Orphans and Widows fund, Dusty?

I live in Australia. Worst time slot for PvP, but it means I rarely have to compete for a server slot:D

For the Core.
