Advanced Train: $110,000,000
Estimated Cargo: 750,000
Estimated Profits: 4,000,000
Being captured and sold as a slave on Malta: Priceless.

Some things, money can't buy. For everything else, there's <strike>whining on the forums</strike> MasterCard.

Now THAT is funny!!!

Seriously though, I've found most pirates to be reasonable when negotiated with. It also helps if somewhere in the past you have helped out factions that pirate like maybe flying some food to Crete or even Malta.

Ok well, the intention here was not to start an argument but a debate. It seems to of gone a bit off now so i am going to leave it there. I didnt realise you were not allowed to post an opinion on these forums without being slated or flamed for it. So i shall refrain

I think its a fair debate... I don't think anyone has slated or flamed the thread (Well maybe Mastercard, but still funny!)...

Don't take it personally. Trading should be hard. Some pirates will be very unimaginative and will demand credits with a line or two. Some will be mean and nasty and make you feel like you've been violated.

On a RP server the latter are, in my experience, the best ones. You come to value every credit earned all the more.

A Junker once pirated someone and demanded their shoes! The pilot's shoes! Now that was classic pirating. And I was pirated, not for creds or the deuterium I was hauling, but for the bales of syhtnetic marijuana, and even then they merely took enough for personal use. I once overlooked getting pirated in a cruiser because the guy told me to "tell that cow to shut up" referring to my upset navigator. Derkylos is right: pirates can get the nastiness across in far more memorable ways.

Keep on role playing and you will be the better player, even if you lose all your cash and dignity to the "2mil or die" RP set.

But don't expect to profit all the time.
