Imagine you take time and effort to design a perfect pentagon out of the two jumpholes, Shasta, Sedona, and the scrubby mine zone (also where Brunswick is) - neighboring points 32,5k (3+2=5) away from eachother, distant points 55k away from eachother - all this in honor of the Law of Fives in Discordianism, and then someone comes along and removes one of the jumpholes because... reasons?

Why not turn it into a system in memorial for all players we have lost?
We tend to keep requests for stuff like that pretty open, and located wherever the requester wants - with limitations on how it's implemented primarily centred around how it fits into the game environment and making sure it's still immersive.

Malaclypse, Tabris and Bear just to name a few.
I guess the gas giant could use some new satellites - maybe on the far side notto cause any navigational problems?
I was always a fan of not deleting all the systems but making them one connection only systems for exploration or events. Glad you did that with Baffin though I'd have probably kept it connected to Coronado to keep it as a system hidden deep in the barrier.

Taking the 'discover' out of 'discovery'.
Even if it's been there for years, it's still brand new content for new folks, and what's better than a system with a rich history and no real reason to be involved in outside affairs when you're just starting out in a mod that literally calls itself 'Discovery'.

I think it is better for overall gameplay to have less traveltime to get from A to B. I think Skorak nailed it, these systems could be dead ends for people to still discover while not giving anyone that has already seen Baffin once just an extra 150k extra cruise distance to get from A to B
